Man City drops more points, Nottingham Forest wins in quest for Champions League
Manchester City dropped two more vital points as Pep Guardiola’s side looks to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League after a 2-2 home draw with Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday.

Kylian Mbappe scored two goals in six minutes in the first half as Real Madrid fought back from a goal down to win 2-1 away to Villarreal and move three points clear of FC Barcelona at the top of La Liga on Saturday evening.
Madrid played the game less than 70 hours after its UEFA Champions League win over Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, and it was clear there were tired legs as goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois made several big saves to deny fifth-placed Villarreal.

Injured Neymar ruled out of Brazil World Cup qualifiers
Veteran forward Neymar will miss Brazil’s World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina due to a thigh injury, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said on Friday.
The 33-year-old, who has not played for Brazil since October 2023 because of a knee injury, was replaced by teenage Real Madrid forward Endrick.
“The return seemed so close, but unfortunately I won’t be able to wear the most important shirt in the world for the moment,” Neymar wrote on Instagram.
“We had long conversations and everyone knows of my desire to return, but we agreed that it’s best not to take any risks and prepare as best as possible to completely eradicate the injury,” he added.

China’s top seed Shi reaches fourth Badminton All England final
China’s Shi Yuqi is one victory away from his second Badminton All England title as the top seed defeated teammate Li Shifeng 21-9, 20-22 and 21-19 on Saturday.
Shi, 29, suffered a bitter loss to Li in both the All England and Asian Games finals in 2023. Since then, he has outplayed the 25-year-old in all of their three meetings.
Shi took the opening game easily, but met strong challenges from the sixth seed in the following two games.
