အနောက်သဲကန္တာရတွင်မူ Khalda Petroleum ၊ Agiba Petroleum နှင့် Petrosannan ကုမ္ပဏီအပြင် နိုင်ငံပိုင် General Petroleum ကုမ္ပဏီတို့ ပါဝင်သည့် ဖက်စပ်လုပ်ငန်းများက တစ်နေ့လျှင် စုစုပေါင်း ရေနံစည် ၅,၄၀၀ နှင့် သဘာဝဓာတ်ငွေ့ ကုဗပေ ၂၃ သန်းခန့် ထုတ်လုပ်နိုင်မည်ဟု ခန့်မှန်းရသည့် ရှာဖွေတွေ့ရှိမှုအသစ်များစွာကို တွေ့ရှိခဲ့သည်။

Egypt announces new oil, gas discoveries in Western Desert, Nile Delta
CAIRO, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) — Egypt has made several new oil and gas discoveries in the Western Desert and the Nile Delta in October, which would add over 5,000 barrels of oil and 42 million cubic feet of gas per day to production, Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Karim Badawi announced on Wednesday.
For the first time in two years, two new natural gas discoveries were made in the onshore Nile Delta — by Britain’s Harbour Energy and United Arab Emirates-based Dana Gas — with a combined output of 19 million cubic feet per day, the ministry said.
In the Western Desert, joint ventures including Khalda Petroleum, Agiba Petroleum, and Petrosannan Company, as well as the state-owned General Petroleum Company, made several new finds, which are expected to produce a combined total of around 5,400 barrels of oil and 23 million cubic feet of gas per day.
“These discoveries come as part of the ministry’s continuous efforts to reduce the burden of importing oil and gas on the national economy by boosting local production and adding new finds that help lower the import bill,” Badawi said.
Since July, Egypt has recorded 18 new oil and gas discoveries, 13 of which are already in production, delivering a total daily output of 14,000 barrels of crude and condensates and 44 million cubic feet of gas, according to the ministry. ■
