စက်တင်ဘာလ ၁၉ ရက်မှ ၂၁ ရက်အထိ ကျင်းပခဲ့သည့် အဆိုပါပြိုင်ပွဲတွင် Robot Mission ၊ Future Innovators ၊ RoboSports နှင့် Future Engineers ဟူ၍ အမျိုးအစား လေးမျိုး ပါဝင်ပြီး အငယ်တန်း၊ အလတ်တန်း၊ အကြီးတန်း ဟူ၍ အသက်အရွယ်အပိုင်းအခြားအရ အုပ်စုသုံးစုခွဲယှဉ်ပြိုင်ကြခြင်း ဖြစ်ကြောင်း သိရသည်။
World Robot Olympiad Myanmar ၏ National Organizer ကို Eddi က “ဒီနှစ်ပြိုင်ပွဲမှာ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံက အဖွဲ့ ၅ ဖွဲ့ ဝင်ရောက်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်တယ်။ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအပါအဝင် နိုင်ငံပေါင်း ၂၀ ၊ အဖွဲ့ပေါင်း ၁၀၈ ဖွဲ့ထဲမှာ မြန်မာ ၅ ဖွဲ့ က ပါဝင်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်ခဲ့ပါတယ်” ဟုပြောသည်။
“မြန်မာအဖွဲ့ထဲက We Are Genius Myanmar အဖွဲ့က အငယ်တန်းအဆင့်အောက်ပြိုင်ပွဲရဲ့ Future Innovators အမျိုးအစားမှာ ဝင်ရောက်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်ခဲ့ပြီးတော့ ပထမနေရာကို ရရှိခဲ့တာပါ။ သူတို့က အသင်း ၁၂ သင်းနဲ့ ယှဉ်ပြိုင်ခဲ့ပါတယ်” ဟု ၎င်းက ပြောသည်။
“ကျွန်တော်တို့ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံက WRO နိုင်ငံတကာ ပြိုင်ပွဲတွေကို မနှစ်ကမှ ဝင်ပြိုင်ခဲ့တာပါ။ ဒုတိယဝင်ပြိုင်တဲ့ နှစ်မှာတင် ပထမဆုကြီး တစ်ဆု ရရှိခဲ့တာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဒီရလဒ်ကို ကျွန်တော့်တို့ အလွန်ဂုဏ်ယူမိပါတယ်၊ ဘာဖြစ်လို့လဲဆိုတော့ ဒါက ကျွန်တော်တို့နိုင်ငံအတွက်မှတ်တိုင်တစ်ခုပါပဲ” ဟု ၎င်းက ဆိုသည်။
ယခုကဲ့သို့ အောင်မြင်မှုများရရှိခဲ့ခြင်းကြောင့် ကျောင်းသားများအနေဖြင့် စက်ရုပ်နှင့် နည်းပညာကို လေ့လာသင်ယူရန် စိတ်အားတက်ကြွမှုများ ပိုမိုရရှိလာမည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း ၎င်းက ဆက်လက်ပြောသည်။
ကျောင်းသားအများစုအတွက် ယခုပြိုင်ပွဲသည် နိုင်ငံတကာစင်မြင့်၌ ၎င်းတို့ရဲ့ ပထမဆုံးအတွေ့အကြုံဖြစ်ပြီး လာမည့်နှစ်များတွင်လည်း ထပ်မံယှဉ်ပြိုင်ရန်စိတ်အားထက်သန်လျက်ရှိကြောင်း ၎င်းကဆိုသည်။
“ကျွန်တော်တို့နိုင်ငံမှာ မတ်လတုန်းက ငလျင်ကြီးတစ်ခု လှုပ်ခဲ့တယ်။ ငလျင်ကြောင့် လူတွေ အများကြီး သေဆုံးခဲ့တယ်။ ထိခိုက်ဒဏ်ရာရရှိခဲ့ကြပါတယ်။ အဲဒီမှာ ဘေးအန္တရာယ်တစ်ခုခုကို ကြုံတွေ့ရတဲ့အခါ သဘာဝဘေးဒဏ်ခံရတဲ့သူတွေကို ကယ်ဖို့အတွက် ဒီစက်ရုပ်ကို တီထွင်ပြီးတော့ ဝင်ပြိုင်ခဲ့တာပါ” ဟု အဖွဲ့ဝင်တစ်ဦးဖြစ်သည့် အသက် ၁၁ နှစ်အရွယ်ရှိ မောင်မိုးပြည့်စုံကျော်က ၎င်းတို့၏ စိတ်ကူးစိတ်သန်းရရှိခဲ့မှုနှင့် ပတ်သက်ပြီး ရှင်းပြခဲ့သည်။

နောက်ထပ်အဖွဲ့ဝင်တစ်ဦးဖြစ်သည့် အသက် ၁၂ အရွယ် မောင်ကျော်ဘုန်းခန့်ဇော်က “ဒါက နိုင်ငံတကာပြိုင်ပွဲကို ပထမဆုံးအကြိမ် ဝင်ပြိုင်တာဆိုတော့ အစပိုင်းမှာတော့ နည်းနည်းတော့ စိုးရိမ်မိပေမဲ့ နောက်ပိုင်းကျတော့ အဆင်ပြေသွားတယ်။ သားအနေနဲ့ တခြားနိုင်ငံကလူတွေနဲ့ သူငယ်ချင်းဖွဲ့နိုင်ခဲ့တယ်။ အတွေ့အကြုံသစ်တွေရခဲ့တယ်။ တခြားသူတွေက ဒီပွဲကို ဘယ်လို ဝင်ရောက်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်ကြသလဲဆိုတာတွေကိုလည်း လေ့လာသင်ယူနိုင်ခဲ့ပါတယ်”ဟု ပြောသည်။

Feature: Young Myanmar robotics team brings glory at Asia-Pacific championship
YANGON, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) — Inspired by the devastating earthquake that once struck their homeland, three young innovators from Myanmar turned their idea into an award-winning AI-powered rescue robot, bringing home first prize at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Asia Pacific Open Championship in the Philippines.
The competition, held from Sept. 19 to 21, featured four categories — RoboMission, Future Innovators, RoboSports, and Future Engineers — across three age divisions: elementary, junior, and senior.
Eddi, National Organizer of World Robot Olympiad Myanmar, said, “Five teams from Myanmar competed this year, alongside 108 teams from over 20 countries.”
“Among them, the team We Are Genius Myanmar took first place in the Future Innovators category under the junior division, competing against 12 teams,” he said.
“Myanmar began participating in WRO international competitions last year, and this year we achieved recognition. I am very proud of this result, and it is a milestone for our country,” he said.
With achievements like this, more young people will be inspired to pursue robotics and technology, he added.
For many of the students, this was their first experience on the international stage, and they are already eager to compete again in the coming years, he said.
One of the team members, 11-year-old Moe Pyae Sone Kyaw, explained their motivation, “We got our inspiration from the severe earthquake that struck Myanmar in March, which caused many deaths, injuries, and left people homeless. We wanted to create something that could help in times of such disasters.”
Their project, the AI-powered search-and-rescue robotic car, is designed to carry out rescue operations, allowing it to enter disaster-affected areas that humans cannot easily reach, he said.
Another member, 12-year-old Kyaw Phone Khant Zaw, said, “This was my first time joining an international competition, so at first, I felt a little nervous, but later I was okay. I made international friends, gained new experiences, and learned a lot by observing how others approached the event.”
Kyaw Phone Khant Zaw’s father, Phyo Wai Zaw, said, “Winning this award shows the strength of Myanmar’s technology on the international stage, and it gives young people encouragement by showing them that such opportunities exist.”
Myo Zaw Thway, founder of the We Are Genius basic science school, said, “I am very glad they won because it shows the skills of our children on the international stage. And, our robotics curriculum also proves that it aligns with international standards.”
The victory of We Are Genius Myanmar not only shines a spotlight on the talent of Myanmar’s youth but also highlights the country’s growing presence in global technology and innovation, he added. ■
