ဂျပန်နိုင်ငံ၏ လွှတ်တော်တွင် LDP က အကြီးမားဆုံးပါတီဖြစ်နေဆဲဖြစ်ခြင်းကြောင့် ပါတီအတွင်း မဲပေး ရွေးချယ်မှုတွင် အနိုင်ရသူသည် စက်တင်ဘာလအတွင်းက ဝန်ကြီးချုပ်ရာထူးမှ နုတ်ထွက်ကြောင်း ကြေညာခဲ့သော ရှီဂဲရု အီရှီဘာ၏နေရာကို ဆက်ခံကာ ဂျပန်နိုင်ငံ၏ ဝန်ကြီးချုပ်ဖြစ်လာရန် သေချာနေ ကြောင်း သိရသည်။
LDP လွှတ်တော်အမတ်များက ပထမအကြိမ်မဲပေးရွေးချယ်မှုတွင် ၂၉၅ မဲပေးခဲ့ကြပြီး အခြား ၂၉၅ မဲကို မူ ခေါင်းဆောင်များပါဝင်ခြင်းမရှိသော တပ်မတော်၊ အဖွဲ့အစည်းစသော သာမန်အဖွဲ့ဝင်များ (Rank-and-File) သို့ မဲပေးခဲ့ကြသည်။ တာကာအိချိက ပထမအကျော့မဲပေးမှုတွင် ၁၈၃ မဲရခဲ့ပြီး ၁၆၄ မဲ ရခဲ့သော ကိုအိဇုမိနှင့်အတူ နောက်ဆုံးအဆင့်မဲပေးပွဲသို့ တစ်ကျော့ပြန်ဝင်ရောက်လာခဲ့သည်။ နောက်ဆုံးအဆင့် မဲပေးမှုတွင် LDP လွှတ်တော်ကိုယ်စားလှယ်များက တူညီသောမဲအရေအတွက်ကိုပင် မဲပေးခဲ့ကြသော်လည်း LDP ၏ စီရင်စု ၄၇ မှ (Rank-and-File) ၏ မဲများကို တစ်မဲစီ လျှော့ချခဲ့သည်။ တာကာအိချိက နောက်ဆုံးအဆင့် မဲပေးရွေးချယ်မှုတွင် ၁၈၅ မဲရခဲ့ပြီး ၁၅၆ မဲရခဲ့သော ကိုအိဇုမိကို အနိုင်ရကာ LDP ခေါင်းဆောင်အဖြစ် ရွေးကောက်တင်မြှောက်ခံခဲ့ရခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။ (Xinhua)

Takaichi elected Japan’s ruling party leader
TOKYO, Oct. 4 (Xinhua)
TOKYO, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) — Japan’s former Economic Security Minister Sanae Takaichi was elected leader of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) on Saturday after a runoff against Agriculture Minister Shinjiro Koizumi.
The winner of the party poll to succeed incumbent Shigeru Ishiba, who announced his resignation last month, is almost certain to become the country’s next prime minister because the LDP remains the largest party in parliament.
LDP parliamentarians cast 295 votes in the first round of voting, while another 295 votes were allotted to rank-and-file members. Takaichi, who took the lead with 183 votes in the first round, entered the runoff with Koizumi who won 164 votes.
In the runoff voting, the LDP lawmakers cast the same number of votes, but the rank-and-file members’ votes were reduced to one for each of the LDP’s 47 prefectural chapters. Takaichi secured 185 votes in the round to defeat Koizumi, who received 156 votes. ■
