Warmer waters see Loggerhead turtles expand into Mediterranean
A study carried out in 2022 by the Center for Environmental Studies in the Spanish city of Valencia, showed that between 1982 and 2019, the temperature of the Mediterranean Sea increased by 1.3 degrees Celsius as the effect of climate change.

Although climate change is usually bad news for wildlife, the warmer waters of the Mediterranean appear to have opened up an opportunity for Loggerhead Sea turtles.
