အိန္ဒိယနိုင်ငံ ကျန်းမာရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာနက မဟာရက်ရှ်ထရာ၊ ကီရာလာနှင့် မဇ္ဈဒေသပြည်နယ် (Madhya Pradesh) စသည့် ပြည်နယ် ၃ ခုတွင် Delta Plus ဟုအမည်ရှိသော COVID-19 ဗီဇပြောင်းဗိုင်းရပ်စ်အသစ်အတွက် သတိပေးချက် ထုတ်ပြန်ထားကြောင်း သိရသည်။Delta Plus ဗိုင်းရပ်စ်အား Variant of Concern (VOC) အဖြစ် ဝန်ကြီးဌာနက ဖော်ပြထားသည်။

“Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomic Consortia (INSACOG) ရဲ့ လတ်တလော တွေ့ရှိချက်တွေကို အခြေခံပြီးတော့ မဟာရက်ရှ်ထရာ၊ ကီရာလာနှင့် မဇ္ဈဒေသပြည်နယ်တွေရဲ့ ခရိုင်အချို့မှ COVID-19 ရဲ့ ဗီဇပြောင်း Delta Plus ဗိုင်းရပ်စ် တွေ့ရှိနေတာကြောင့် ဝန်ကြီးဌာနအနေနဲ့ အဲဒီခရိုင် ၃ ခုမှာသတိပေးပြီး အကြံပြုထားတာဖြစ်ပါတယ်” ဟု ဝန်ကြီးဌာနက ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်၌ ပြောကြားထားသည်။

“ကျန်းမာရေးဝန်ကြီးကလည်း အဆိုပါ ဗိုင်းရပ်စ်ကို မဟာရတ်ရှ်ထရာပြည်နယ်က Ratnagiri နဲ့ Jalgaon ခရိုင်တွေကနေ မျိုးဗီဇအစီအစဉ် နမူနာတွေမှာ တွေ့ရှိတာကြောင့် အဲဒီပြည်နယ် ၃ ခုနဲ့ ဆက်သွယ်ထားပါတယ်” ဟု ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်၌ ဖော်ပြထားသည်။

INSACOG သည် မျိုးဗီဇအစီအစဉ်တစ်ခုလုံးအတွက်သာမက ပြည်နယ်များအနေဖြင့် သင့်လျော်သော ပြည်သူ့ကျန်းမာရေး တုံ့ပြန်မှုဆောင်ရွက်ချက်များ ဆောင်ရွက်နိုင်ရန် အချိန်မီဖြည့်သွင်းရန်အတွက်လည်း တာဝန်ရှိကြောင်း သိရသည်။

အိန္ဒိယနိုင်ငံတွင် ပထမဆုံး တွေ့ရှိခဲ့သော Delta ဗိုင်းရပ်စ်၏ မူကွဲတစ်မျိုးဖြစ်သော Delta Plus ဗိုင်းရပ်စ်ကူးစက်ခံရသူ ပြည်နယ် ၃ ခုတွင် စုစုပေါင်း ၂၂ ဦး စစ်ဆေးတွေ့ရှိခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရသည်။

India’s health ministry alerts 3 states on Delta Plus variant of COVID-19

NEW DELHI, June 22 (Xinhua) — India’s health ministry on Tuesday alerted the states of Maharashtra, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh on a new variant of COVID-19 called Delta Plus.
The ministry described Delta Plus as a Variant of Concern (VOC).

“Based on the recent findings of Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomic Consortia (INSACOG), the health ministry has alerted and advised Maharashtra, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh regarding the Delta Plus variant of COVID-19 being found in some districts in these states,” the ministry said in a statement.

“Health secretary has communicated to these three states this variant has been found in genome sequenced samples from Ratnagiri and Jalgaon districts of Maharashtra; Palakkad and Pathanamthitta districts of Kerala; and Bhopal and Shivpuri districts of Madhya Pradesh,” the statement added.

INSACOG is tasked with not just the whole genome sequencing but also for giving timely inputs on appropriate public health response measures to be adopted by states.
The Delta Plus variant, a mutant version of the Delta strain first detected in India, has been found in 22 cases across these three states.
Experts in Maharashtra fear the new variant could potentially trigger the third wave, reports said.
