Striker Kleindienst embraces spotlight for club and country
With four goals in six international appearances and a key link in attack, German striker Tim Kleindienst has stepped into the limelight. His domestic record is equally impressive, with 15 league goals and six assists in 25 games.
The 29-year-old’s rise has drawn comparisons to West Ham striker Niclas Füllkrug, another late bloomer who has become a staple of Germany’s traditional center-forward role. Like Füllkrug, Kleindienst took a winding path through smaller clubs before earning a national team call-up.

China coach vows to fight for home fans in WC qualifier against Australia
China coach Branko Ivankovic said Monday that his squad will give their all for the home fans in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Asian qualifier against Australia, with a record-breaking crowd of 70,000 expected to pack the stadium.

China’s Zheng reaches Miami Open quarterfinals
China’s Zheng Qinwen reached the last eight of the Miami Open with a 6-2, 7-6(3) victory over American Ashlyn Krueger on Monday.
Ninth-seed Zheng hit five aces and won 81 percent of her first-serve points as she took the match in an hour and 29 minutes.
Krueger struggled for rhythm on serve, committing four double faults, while winning only 27% of total points on return.
Zheng’s quarterfinal opponent in the WTA 1000 event will be top seed and world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, who advanced by beating defending champion Danielle Collins 6-4, 6-4 in their fourth round duel.
