“Visa-free era” brings closer exchanges between China, Thailand
Mutual visa exemption between China and Thailand takes effect on Friday.
Chinese holders of ordinary official passports and ordinary passports and Thai holders of ordinary passports will be allowed to enter and stay in each other’s country visa-free for up to 30 days, or no more than 90 days per 180 days.
China and Thailand signed an agreement on mutual visa exemption in late January. Since then, the booking of tours between the two countries has increased.

Russian FM says NATO troops already in Ukraine
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Friday said the French president didn’t misspeak over the possibility of NATO sending troops to Ukraine, noting that the troops were already there unofficially.
“I don’t think he misspoke,” Lavrov said at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, in response to the disputed remarks of Emmanuel Macron on Monday, in which he said “everything that is necessary” must be done to ensure the defeat of Russia, including deploying troops.
Macron’s remarks have been rejected by several NATO countries, who said that they had no plans to send troops to Ukraine to fight against Russia.
