ဖြစ်စဉ်မှာ ရှမ်းပြည်နယ်၊ တောင်ကြီးမြို့၊ အေးသာယာကားကြီးဝင်းတွင် မူးယစ်ဆေးဝါးတားဆီးနှိမ်နှင်းရေး ရဲတပ်ဖွဲ့က water cooler ၈ လုံးအား စစ်ဆေးခဲ့ရာ ယင်း water cooler အတွင်းမှ ပလတ်စတစ် ဆပ်ပြာခွက်များဖြင့် ထည့်လျက် ဘိန်းဖြူ ၇.၀၂ ကီလိုဂရမ်ကို ဩဂုတ် ၇ ရက်က တွေ့ရှိဖမ်းဆီးရမိခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရသည်။
နောက်တစ်နေ့ ဩဂုတ် ၈ ရက်တွင် မန္တလေးတိုင်းဒေသကြီး၊ ပြည်ကြီးတံခွန်မြို့နယ်နှင့် အောင်မြေသာစံမြို့နယ်တို့တွင် water cooler ၃၉ လုံးအတွင်းထည့်ထားသော ဘိန်းဖြူ ၃၄.၆၄ ကီလိုဂရမ် သိမ်းဆည်းရမိခဲ့ကြောင်း သတင်းထုတ်ပြန်ချက်အရ သိရသည်။
အလားတူ စစ်ကိုင်းတိုင်းဒေသကြီး မုံရွာမြို့၌ water cooler ၁၆ လုံးအတွင်း ဝှက်ထားသော ဘိန်းဖြူ ၁၄.၇ ကီလိုဂရမ်ကိုလည်း သိမ်းဆည်းရမိခဲ့ကြောင်း ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်အရ သိရသည်။
အဆိုပါ ဖမ်းဆီးရမိသည့် မူးယစ်ဆေးဝါးများမှာ တန်ဖိုးငွေကျပ် ၁.၇ ဘီလီယံကျော် ရှိကြောင်း သိရသည်။
ဖမ်းဆီးရမိသူတို့အား မူးယစ်ဆေးဝါးနှင့် စိတ်ကိုပြောင်းလဲစေတတ်သော ဆေးဝါးများဆိုင်ရာ ဥပဒေအရ အရေးယူထားရှိပြီး ပြစ်မှုကျူးလွန်သူတို့အားဆက်လက်ဖော်ထုတ်လျက်ရှိကြောင်း သတင်းထုတ်ပြန်ချက်အရ သိရသည်။ (Xinhua)

Myanmar seizes over 56 kg of heroin
YANGON, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) — Myanmar authorities have seized 56.36 kg of heroin in Shan state, Sagaing region, and Mandalay region, the state-owned daily The Mirror reported on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, anti-narcotics police inspected eight water coolers in Taunggyi town in Shan state on Aug. 7 and discovered 7.02 kg of heroin inside, the report said.

The following day, 39 water coolers were confiscated in Pyigyitagon township and Aungmyethazan township of Mandalay region to contain 34.64 kg of heroin, it added.

Similarly, 14.7 kg of heroin hidden inside 16 water coolers was seized in Monywa town in Sagaing region, the report said.

The seized drugs are valued at more than 1.7 billion kyats (about 0.809 million U.S. dollars), it added.
The suspects in connection with the case have been charged under Myanmar’s anti-narcotics laws, and further investigations are underway, the report said. ■
