Myanmar wins gold in billiard event at 33rd SEA Games
YANGON, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) — Myanmar won a gold medal in the team billiards event at the 2025 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) in Bangkok, Thailand, the state-owned daily The Global New Light of Myanmar reported on Monday.
In the final, Myanmar defeated Singapore’s team, led by renowned player Peter Gilchrist, 3-1, marking its first SEA Games gold medal in team billiards, the report said, adding that the country also won a silver medal in the individual billiards event.
As of Dec. 14, Myanmar had earned more than 30 medals, including three gold medals.
The 33rd SEA Games, hosted by Thailand, runs from December 9 to 20. Enditem
