Global AI summit kicks off in Geneva
GENEVA, May 30 (Xinhua) — The 2024 Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Good Global Summit began on Thursday in the Swiss capital of Geneva.
The summit is co-convened with the government of Switzerland and organized by the International Telecommunication Union — a specialized agency of the United Nations — in partnership with 40 UN agencies.
The event aims to leverage AI to advance various global development priorities, including health, climate, gender equality, inclusive prosperity and sustainable infrastructure.
Over 2,500 participants will attend the event onsite this year, including government officials, experts and industry leaders. ■
