ယင်းဒေသတွင် ရင်ဆိုင်နေရသော လေထုညစ်ညမ်းမှုမှာ ဆက်လက်ဖြစ်ပွားနေခြင်းကြောင့် ကျောင်းသားများ၏ ကျန်းမာရေးကို ကာကွယ်စောင့်ရှောက်ပေးနိုင်ရေးအတွက် အဆင့်လိုက်ဆောင်ရွက်မှုများကို လုပ်ဆောင်လျက်ရှိသည်။

India asks Delhi-NCR to postpone sports competitions due to poor air quality
NEW DELHI, Nov. 20 (Xinhua)
As the Air Quality Index (AQI) of the Indian capital territory has entered the severe category level, the federal government has asked the authorities in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) to postpone physical sports competitions in November and December, officials said Thursday.
The step is being taken to safeguard the health of students from the ongoing air pollution that the region is battling.
Delhi-NCR is a metropolitan area that includes the entire National Capital Territory of Delhi and surrounding districts.
Officials, citing the data, said on Thursday that most of the stations recorded an AQI of over 400, with some areas reaching 450.
Air pollution continues to worsen in Delhi and it gets aggravated during the winter months. The deterioration in air quality is being attributed to slow wind speed and stubble burning (farm fires) in the neighboring states. ■
