Chinese FM extends condolences over death of former French PM Lionel Jospin
BEIJING, April 1 (Xinhua) — Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday extended condolences over the death of former French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin.
In his message to his French counterpart, Jean-Noel Barrot, Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said that Jospin was a senior French statesman who made positive contributions to the growth of China-France relations.
Wang voiced China’s readiness to work with France to deepen the China-France comprehensive strategic partnership so as to bring more stability and certainty to the world. Enditem
