အာဖဂန်နစ္စတန်နိုင်ငံအတွင်း အိုင်အက်စ် (IS) တည်ရှိနေသည်ဟူသော အမေရိကန် တပ်မှူးတစ်ဦး၏ ပြောကြားချက်မှာ အခြေအမြစ်မရှိကြောင်း အာဖဂန်နစ္စတန် အိမ်စောင့်အစိုးရက ပယ်ချလိုက်သည်ဟု ဒေသတွင်းမီဒီယာက မတ် ၂၁ ရက်၌ သတင်းဖော်ပြခဲ့သည်။အမေရိကန်နိုင်ငံ ဗဟိုကွပ်ကဲရေးဌာန၊ တပ်မှူး ဗိုလ်ချုပ်ကြီး Kenneth F. Kabul rejects U.S. commander’s claim on IS presence in Afghanistan

KABUL, March 21 (Xinhua) — Afghanistan’s caretaker government has rejected a claim by a U.S. commander on IS presence in the country as baseless, local media reported on Monday.

General Kenneth F. Mckenzie, the commander of the U.S. Central Command, reportedly said recently that the release of “inmates from Pul-e-Charkhi and Bagram prisons” has strengthened Daesh (IS) activities in Afghanistan.
Quoting Bilal Karimi, a deputy spokesman for Afghanistan’s Taliban-led administration, Tolonews reported that “Daesh group has been eliminated in Afghanistan,” thus posing no threat.

Following Taliban’s takeover of Afghansitan in mid-August last year, the new administration in Afghanistan set free all detainees including those held in the notorious Pul-e-Charkhi and Bagram detention centers. ■
