China urges U.S. to remove unreasonable tariffs for trade expansion
BEIJING, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) — China on Thursday called on the United States to take positive actions, cancel relevant unreasonable tariffs, and create conditions for expanding bilateral trade.
He Yadong, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, made the remarks at a press briefing in response to questions regarding potential Chinese purchases of U.S. soybeans and Boeing aircraft.
The biggest obstacle currently affecting normal China-U.S. economic and trade cooperation lies in U.S. unilateral restrictive measures, He said.
He emphasized that the essence of the bilateral economic and trade relationship is mutual benefit and win-win, and that the two countries share broad common interests and vast space for cooperation.
