ဟဲနန်၊ ဆန်းတုန်း၊ ဟူပေ၊ ဟူနန်၊ အန်ဟွေး၊ ကျန်းဆူး၊ စီချွမ်း၊ ချုံချင့်၊ ကွေ့ကျိုး၊ ယူနန်၊ အတွင်းမွန်ဂိုးလီးယား၊ ဟေးလုံကျန်း၊ ကျိလင်နှင့် လျောင်နင် စသည့်နေရာများ၌ ဇွန် ၂၃ ရက် နံနက် ၈ နာရီမှ ဇွန် ၂၄ ရက် နံနက် ၈ နာရီအထိ မိုးသည်းထန်စွာရွာသွန်းနိုင်ကြောင်း ခန့်မှန်းထားသည်။ အချို့နေရာများတွင် မိုးရေချိန် ၁၃၀ မီလီမီတာအထိ ရွာသွန်းနိုင်ကြောင်း သိရသည်။

အဆိုပါ ဒေသများ၏ အချို့နေရာများတွင် နာရီအလိုက်မိုးရွာသွန်းမှုများမှာ ၆၀ မီလီမီတာကျော် ရှိနိုင်မည်ဖြစ်ပြီး မိုးကြိုးမုန်တိုင်းများနှင့် လေပြင်းများလည်း တိုက်ခတ်နိုင်ဖွယ်ရှိကြောင်း ခန့်မှန်းထားသည်။

China renews blue alert for rainstorms

BEIJING, June 23 (Xinhua) — China’s National Meteorological Center on Thursday renewed a blue alert for rainstorms in various parts of the country.

From 8 a.m. Thursday to 8 a.m. Friday, heavy downpours are expected to lash parts of Henan, Shandong, Hubei, Hunan, Anhui, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning. Some areas may experience up to 130 millimeters of rainfall.

Some of these regions are also likely to encounter over 60 millimeters of hourly precipitation, accompanied by thunderstorms and gales.

The meteorological center has advised local governments to make appropriate preparations and check the drainage systems in cities, farmland and fishponds.

Schools and kindergartens have been asked to take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of children, while drivers have been alerted to watch out for flooding and traffic jams.

China has a four-tier color-coded weather warning system, with red representing the most severe warning, followed by orange, yellow and blue. ■
