အာဖဂန်နစ္စတန်နိုင်ငံ အရှေ့ပိုင်း Wardak ပြည်နယ်တွင် ရေကြီးမှုနှင့်ဆက်စပ်၍ သေဆုံးသူ အရေအတွက်မှာ ၂၆ ဦးအထိ တိုးလာခဲ့ပြီး ၄၄ ဦး ထိခိုက်ဒဏ်ရာရရှိခဲ့ကြောင်း သဘာဝဘေးအန္တရာယ် စီမံခန့်ခွဲမှု အာဏာပိုင်အဖွဲ့ ပြောရေးဆိုခွင့်ရှိသူ Shafiullah Rahimi က ဇူလိုင် ၂၃ ရက်၌ ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

“Wardak ပြည်နယ် နေရာတော်တော်များများမှာ စနေနေ့နှောင်းပိုင်းက မိုးသက်မုန်တိုင်းကျရောက်ခဲ့ပြီး ရေကြီးရေလျှံမှုဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့တဲ့အတွက် စုစုပေါင်းလူ ၂၆ ဦးသေဆုံးခဲ့ပြီး၊ အခြားသူ ၄၄ ဦးထိခိုက်ဒဏ်ရာရရှိခဲ့ပါတယ်။ နောက်ထပ် ၃၆ ဦး ပျောက်ဆုံးနေပါတယ်” ဟု Rahimi က သတင်းထောက်များကို ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

ပြီးခဲ့သော ၃ ရက်အတွင်း မိုးသက်မုန်တိုင်းကျရောက်ခဲ့ပြီး ရေကြီးရေလျှံမှုများဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့ခြင်း ကြောင့် Khost ပြည်နယ်နှင့် ကဘူးလ်မြို့ အပြင်ဘက် Paghman ခရိုင်တို့၌ လူလေးဦး သေဆုံးခဲ့ကြောင်းလည်း Rahimi က အတည်ပြုပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

Flood-related deaths rise to 26 in east Afghanistan
KABUL, July 24 (Xinhua) — The number of flood-related casualties has increased to 26 deaths, with 44 people injured in east Afghanistan’s Wardak province, said Shafiullah Rahimi, spokesman for the Natural Disaster Management Authority on Sunday.

“A total of 26 people were killed, 44 others injured, and 36 more people went missing in rainstorms and flooding that swept through parts of eastern Wardak province late Saturday,” Rahimi told reporters.

Rahimi confirmed that the rainstorms and flash floods had also claimed four lives in the Paghman district outside Kabul and another in the eastern Khost province over the past three days.

At least 250 cattle have been killed, 400 houses were partially or utterly destroyed, and dozens of acres of land were submerged in floods, the official asserted.■
