တောင်အာဖရိကနိုင်ငံသည် COVID-19 ရောဂါ ဖြစ်ပွားမှုအတည်ပြုချက်များအရ ဖြစ်ပွားမှု အများဆုံး ဒေသဖြစ်ပြီး ယင်းနောက်တွင် အာဖရိကမြောက်ပိုင်းဒေသ နှင့် အာဖရိက အရှေ့ပိုင်းဒေသများသည် ဖြစ်ပွားမှု အများဆုံး ဖြစ်ကြောင်း သိရသည်။

Africa’s confirmed COVID-19 cases surpass 4.25 mln: Africa CDC

ADDIS ABABA, April 3 (Xinhua) — The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Africa has reached 4,252,676 as of Saturday noon, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) said.
The Africa CDC, the specialized healthcare agency of the African Union (AU), said the death toll related to the pandemic stood at 113,429, while 3,800,130 patients across the continent have recovered from the disease.
South Africa has lost 52,964 lives to COVID-19, the most among African countries, followed by Egypt, at 12,084, and Morocco, at 8,835, according to the Africa CDC.
Southern Africa is the most affected region in terms of confirmed cases, followed by the northern African and eastern African regions.
Central Africa is the least affected African region in terms of confirmed COVID-19 cases.
Five countries account for about 65 percent of all cases reported in Africa. These five African countries are South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and Ethiopia.
According to the Africa CDC, the African continent accounts for 4.1 percent of total COVID-19 cases reported globally.
The COVID-19 related deaths in the African continent account for about 4 percent of all COVID-19 related deaths recorded globally, the Africa CDC disclosed Thursday. ■
