Xinhua president meets with Andina general director
BEIJING, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) — President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua on Saturday met with Felix Alberto Paz Quiroz, general director of the Peruvian news agency Andina, who is in China for the sixth World Media Summit.
The two sides discussed the history of friendly cooperation between the two agencies and expressed their willingness to strengthen cooperation on topics such as serving the development of China-Peru relations, promoting exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and Latin American media, deepening cooperation among media think tanks of the Global South, artificial intelligence and media transformation. Fu congratulated TASS on its successful hosting of the BRICS Media Summit last month.
Fu said that since the beginning of this year, the pragmatic and friendly cooperation between the two agencies has yielded fruitful results, and personnel exchanges between the two sides have been carried out smoothly.
Xinhua is willing to continue strengthening high-level exchange with TASS, Fu said, calling on the two sides to support each other’s major events and strengthen coordination and cooperation under multilateral frameworks.
