GLOBALink | Homegrown aircraft bolster China’s emergency rescue capabilities
China’s aviation industry has bolstered the country’s emergency rescue capabilities by advancing improvements of independently-developed aircraft. A range of homegrown civil aircraft are moving ahead to serve emergency rescue missions.
The AG600M aircraft recently conducted pivotal tests. The ambhibious firefighting aircraft is designed to combat forest fires.
The Z15 (AC352) has obtained certification from the civil aviation authorities. The medium-sized civil helicopter can carry up to 16 passengers. It is highly efficient in a diverse range of missions, including search and rescue.
Here comes the Wing Loong large civil UAV family.
Diverse models of the UAV family have shown vast potential in emergemcy rescue.
They have conducted missions, such as cloud seeding over drought-hit regions and supported emergency communicationa in quake-hit areas.
China has proposed to improve the national emergency management system.
More homegrown aircraft and technologies are underway.
