မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသည် အရှေ့တောင်အာရှနိုင်ငံများအသင်း (ASEAN = Association of Southeast Asian Nations) အဖွဲ့ဝင်နိုင်ငံများတွင် အာဆီယံအမွေအနှစ် အမျိုးသားဥယျာဉ်ပိုင်ဆိုင်မှုအနေဖြင့် တတိယနေရာတွင် ရပ်တည်လျက်ရှိကြောင်း ပြန်ကြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန၏ ဧပြီ ၂၃ ရက် ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်အရ သိရသည်။
အာဆီယံအမွေအနှစ်ဥယျာဉ်အစီအစဉ်တွင် အဖွဲ့ဝင် ၁၀ နိုင်ငံအတွင်းရှိ အမွေအနှစ်ဥယျာဉ် ၅၅ ခု ရှိကြောင်း အာဆီယံ ဇီဝမျိုးစုံမျိုးကွဲဗဟိုဌာန (ACB) အရ သိရသည်။
မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအနေဖြင့် ယင်းကဲ့သို့ အမွေအနှစ်ဥယျာဉ် ၈ ခု ပိုင်ဆိုင်ကြောင်း သိရသည်။
အာဆီယံဒေသအတွင်းရှိ သဘာဝထိန်းသိမ်းရေးနယ်မြေများ စီမံအုပ်ချုပ်မှုနှင့် ဇီဝမျိုးစုံမျိုးကွဲထိန်းသိမ်းမှုဆိုင်ရာလုပ်ငန်းတို့တွင် ဒေသအတွင်း ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုကို မြှင့်တင်နိုင်ရန် ဂေဟစနစ်၊ မျိုးစုံမျိုးကွဲ၊ ယဉ်ကျေးမှုနှင့် ဓလေ့ထုံးတမ်းအစဉ်အလာများ ထူးခြားစွာတည်ရှိသော သဘာဝထိန်းသိမ်းရေးနယ်မြေများကို အာဆီယံအမွေအနှစ် ဥယျာဉ်များ (ASEAN Heritage Parks – AHPs) အဖြစ် သတ်မှတ်ထိန်းသိမ်းလျက်ရှိကြောင်း ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်အရ သိရသည်။
မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအနေဖြင့် သဘာဝပတ်ဝန်းကျင် ထိန်းသိမ်းစောင့်ရှောက်ရေးအတွက် အခြားအာဆီယံနိုင်ငံများ၊ NGO များ၊ အသင်းအဖွဲ့များ၊ ဒေသခံများနှင့်အတူ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိကြောင်း ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်၌ ဖော်ပြထားသည်။
မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင် သိပ္ပံကြိုးဝိုင်း၊ အမျိုးသားဥယျာဉ်၊ အဏ္ဏဝါအမျိုးသားဥယျာဉ်၊ သဘာဝကြိုးဝိုင်း၊ တောရိုင်းတိရစ္ဆာန် ဘေးမဲ့တော၊ ဘူမိရုပ်သွင်ထူးသည့်နယ်မြေ၊ ဒေသအစုအဖွဲ့ သဘာဝထိန်းသိမ်းရေး နယ်မြေတို့ဖြင့် သဘာဝထိန်းသိမ်းရေးနယ်‌‌မြေ အမျိုးအစားများခွဲခြားကာ ဇီဝမျိုးစုံမျိုးကွဲများကို ထိန်းသိမ်းကာကွယ် စောင့်ရှောက်လျက်ရှိကြောင်း ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်အရ သိရသည်။
အမျိုးသားဥယျာဉ်များ တည်ထောင်မှုသည် ခရီးသွားလုပ်ငန်းနှင့် ဒေသခံများအတွက်အလုပ်အကိုင်ကို မြှင့်တင်ပေးသည်သာမက နိုင်ငံအတွက် အခွန်ဘဏ္ဍာများလည်း ရရှိစေကြောင်း ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်အရ သိရသည်။ (Xinhua)

Myanmar ranks third in ASEAN for heritage parks
YANGON, April 24 (Xinhua) — Myanmar ranked third among ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries for its heritage parks, the state-run media Myanma Alinn reported on Wednesday.
According to the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity (ACB), the ASEAN Heritage Parks program lists 55 heritage parks across the 10 ASEAN member states.
Myanmar accounts for eight of these heritage parks, the report said.
ASEAN Heritage Parks are defined as “protected areas of high conservation importance, preserving in total a complete spectrum of representative ecosystems of the ASEAN region,” the ACB said.
Myanmar collaborates with other ASEAN countries, NGOs, and local organizations to preserve its natural environment, the report said.
Efforts are being made to conserve national parks, marine parks, protected reserves, wildlife sanctuaries, unique geological sites, and community-protected natural areas, according to the report.
Developing national parks not only promotes tourism and local employment but also generates revenue for the country, the report said.
