သေဆုံးသူများထဲတွင် ဂျော်ဒန်နိုင်ငံသား ၈ ဦးနှင့် နိုင်ငံခြားသား ၅ ဦးပါဝင်ကြောင်း အုပ်ချုပ်ရေးမှူးဖြစ်သူက ဆိုသည်။

လက်ရှိတွင် လူပေါင်း ၁၃၉ ဦးအား ဆေးရုံတွင်ကုသပေးနေပြီး ဒဏ်ရာရသူများတွင် ရောဂါလက္ခဏာပြင်းထန်သူမရှိကြောင်း သိရသည်။ ထိခိုက်ဒဏ်ရာရရှိသူနှစ်ဦးအား ဆေးကုသမှုခံယူရန် အမ်မန်မြို့သို့ ရွှေ့ပြောင်းပို့ဆောင်ထားပြီး ကျန်ရှိသူများအား Aqaba ရှိဆေးရုံများတွင် ကုသပေးနေကြောင်း ၎င်းက ဖြည့်စွက်ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

ဇွန်လ ၂၈ ရက်တွင် ဂျော်ဒန်နိုင်ငံဝန်ကြီးချုပ် Bisher Khasawneh က Aqaba ၏ ပင်လယ်နီမြို့အား ပုံမှန်အတိုင်းပြန်လည် ထိန်းသိမ်းထားရှိပြီဖြစ်ကြောင်းနှင့် ဆိပ်ကမ်းနှင့်ရေကြောင်းသွားလာမှုများတွင် ကလိုရင်းဓါတ်ငွေ့ယိုစိမ့်မှု ဘေးအန္တရာယ်များအားလုံးကို ရှင်းလင်းထားပြီးပုံမှန်အတိုင်း လည်ပတ်နေပြီဖြစ်ကြောင်းထပ်လောင်းပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

Death toll in Jordan’s toxic gas leakage rises to 13, including 5 foreigners

AMMAN, June 28 (Xinhua) — The death toll from a toxic chlorine gas leak in Jordan’s Aqaba port rose to 13, of whom five are non-Jordanians, state-run Petra news agency cited Aqaba Governor Mohammad Al-Rafaa’a as saying on Tuesday.

The governor said the fatalities included eight Jordanians and five foreigners.

Currently, 139 persons are receiving treatment at hospitals and none of the injured are in serious conditions. Two of the injured were evacuated for treatment in Amman, while the rest are in Aqaba hospitals, he added.

Also on Tuesday, Jordan’s Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh said that normalcy has been restored in the Red Sea city of Aqaba, adding that the port and navigation are operating normally without risks of chlorine gas concentrations.

The incident occurred on Monday when a chemical storage container full of chlorine fell off the crane while being transported to a vessel in the port as a result of a crane malfunction.  Enditem
