Spectacular footage shows ice sheets floating along a stretch of the Yellow River in Zhongwei City, northwest China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
The Yellow River, China’s second longest river, partially froze in this region due to plunging temperatures.
The movement of ice sheets on the Yellow River is closely monitored, because floods are always a possibility if the ice floes pile up and obstruct the river’s flow.
