ပြင်သစ်နိုင်ငံ သမ္မတ အီမန်နျူရယ် မက်ခရွန်က ၂၀၂၄ ခုနှစ် ပဲရစ် မသန်စွမ်းအိုလံပစ်အားကစားပွဲကို Place de la Concorde ရင်ပြင်တွင် ဖွင့်လှစ်ကြောင်း ဩဂုတ် ၂၈ ရက် ညနေပိုင်းက ကြေညာခဲ့သည်။
ယင်းမှာ ပြင်သစ်နိုင်ငံက နွေရာသီမသန်စွမ်းအိုလံပစ်ကို အိမ်ရှင်အဖြစ် ပထမဆုံးအကြိမ် လက်ခံကျင်းပခြင်းဖြစ်သလို အားကစားရုံပြင်ပ၌ မသန်စွမ်းအားကစားပွဲ ဖွင့်လှစ်ခြင်းအခမ်းအနားအား ပထမဆုံး ကျင်းပခြင်းလည်းဖြစ်သည်။
ဩဂုတ် ၃၀ ရက်မှစ၍ အချိန် ၁၁ ရက်ကြာ ကျင်းပမည့် အဆိုပါအားကစားပွဲတွင် အားကစားနည်း ၂၂ နည်းကို နိုင်ငံကိုယ်စားပြုအားကစားအဖွဲ့ ၁၆၈ ဖွဲ့မှ အားကစားသမား ၄,၄၀၀ ခန့် ပါဝင်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်ကြမည်ဖြစ်သည်။ အီရီထရီးယား၊ ခီရီဘာတီ၊ ကိုဆိုဗို စသည့်နိုင်ငံများက မသန်စွမ်းအိုလံပစ်အားကစားပွဲ၌ ပထမဆုံးပါဝင်လာခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။
တရုတ်နိုင်ငံတော်အလံကို ဓားသိုင်းအားကစားသမား Gu Haiyan နှင့် အလေးမအားကစားသမား Qi Yongkai တို့က အတူတကွကိုင်ဆောင်လျက် တရုတ်နိုင်ငံကိုယ်စားပြုအားကစားအဖွဲ့က ဖွင့်ပွဲအခမ်းအနားအတွင်း ဝင်ရောက်လာခဲ့သည်။
တရုတ်နိုင်ငံက ပဲရစ်မသန်စွမ်းအားကစားပွဲတွင် အားကစားနည်း ၁၉ နည်း၊ ပြိုင်ပွဲ ၃၀၂ ပွဲကို ဝင်ရောက်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်မည့် အားကစားသမား အမျိုးသား ၁၂၆ ဦးနှင့် အမျိုးသမီး ၁၅၈ ဦး စုစုပေါင်း ၂၈၄ ဦး စေလွှတ်ထားကြောင်းနှင့် ၎င်းတို့အနက် ၉၅ ဦးမှာ မသန်စွမ်းအိုလံပစ်ပြိုင်ပွဲ ဝင်ရောက်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်မည့် ပထမဆုံးအားကစားသမားများဖြစ်ကြောင်း သိရသည်။ (Xinhua)

Paralympics | Paris 2024 Paralympic Games open
PARIS, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) — French President Emmanuel Macron declared the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games open on Wednesday evening at Place de la Concorde.
This is the first time that France has hosted the Paralympic Summer Games, and is also the first time that a Paralympics opening ceremony has taken place outside a stadium.
Around 4,400 athletes from a record 168 delegations will participate in the 11-day competition across 22 sports starting from Friday, with Eritrea, Kiribati and Kosovo making their Paralympic debuts.
China’s delegation entered with wheelchair fencer Gu Haiyan and weightlifter Qi Yongkai carrying the flag together.
China has sent a delegation of 284 athletes – 126 males and 158 females – to compete across 302 events in 19 sports. Among them, 95 are first-time Paralympians.
