Last-gasp equalizer sees Bayern past Celtic in Champions League
Alphonso Davies’ dramatic last-minute equalizer earned Bayern Munich a 3-2 aggregate victory over Celtic in Tuesday’s Champions League playoff.
Leon Goretzka missed a golden chance to open the scoring after half-time, only for Schmeichel to make a fine reflex save. Celtic punished Bayern’s missed opportunities on the hour mark. Kim Min-jae’s poor clearance allowed Kuhn to break through and slot past Neuer to give Celtic the lead on the night and draw level 2-2 on aggregate
With extra time looming, Bayern equalized in stoppage time to take the aggregate lead. Olise’s cross found Goretzka, whose header was parried by Schmeichel into the path of Davies, who slotted home from close range to secure Bayern’s place in the next round.
The result sends Bayern through to the last 16, with Celtic eliminated from the competition.

Ancelotti: Nobody at Real Madrid thinks we have easy task vs. Man City
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti doesn’t accept Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola’s calculation claiming Real Madrid has a 99 percent chance of reaching the last 16 of the Champions League while the English side has just 1 percent possibility of making it to the knockout stage of the competition.
Ancelotti spoke to the press on Tuesday ahead of the return leg of its Champions League play-off tie, after Madrid last week scored two late goals to win in Manchester, in a game that showed Man City’s defensive problems this season. Guardiola has played down his side’s chances of progressing at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Wednesday night, but Ancelotti was less sure.
“We don’t think we have 99 percent chance of qualifying: we have a slight advantage and we have to try and take advantage of it and play the same level as in the first leg, because it worked out well,” commented Ancelotti.
The Italian said he expected a game that was “entertaining and difficult.”

Australia edges China to top Group A in U20 AFC Cup
SHENZHEN, China, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) — Australia scored two goals in two minutes to upset host China 2-1 in here on Tuesday, winning the group A of U20 AFC Cup.
The two teams made several changes in their starting line-ups, as they have already secured their spots in the final eight after both beating Qatar and Kyrgyzstan in their first two matches.
Having won all three matches, Australia will play the Group B runner-up in the quarterfinal while China will face the Group B winner.

China’s Ningbo to host 2025 Volleyball Nations League men’s finals
The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) announced Tuesday that east China’s Ningbo will host the 2025 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Men’s Finals this summer.
Ningbo Beilun Sports and Arts Center will stage the event from July 30 to August 3, while the women’s finals will be held in Lodz, Poland, from July 23 to 27.
