တရုတ်နိုင်ငံ၏ နက္ခတ္တဗေဒစောင့်ကြည့်လေ့လာရေးက ကြယ်တံခွန်သစ်တစ်စင်း တွေ့ရှိ

ဇန်နဝါရီလအတွင်း ကောင်းကင်တစ်ခွင် ဖျိုးဖျိုးဖျပ်ဖျပ်တွေ့မြင်ရသော အရာဝတ္ထုတစ်ခုကို နိုင်ငံတကာ နက္ခတ္တဗေဒသမဂ္ဂ၏ Minor Planet Center (MPC) က ကြယ်တံခွန်တစ်စင်းဖြစ်ကြောင်း အတည်ပြုခဲ့သည်။

အဆိုပါ ကြယ်တံခွန်ကို တရုတ်သိပ္ပံအကယ်ဒမီ Purple Mountain Observatory မှ နက္ခတ္တဗေဒပညာရှင်များက ဇန်နဝါရီ ၉ ရက်က ပထမဆုံးတွေ့ရှိခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။ ထိုတွေ့ရှိမှုကို MPC က မတ် ၁ ရက်တွင် အတည်ပြုခဲ့ကာ Tsuchinshan-ATLAS ဟု အမည်ပေးခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရသည်။ (Xinhua)

China’s astronomical observatory discovers new comet
An object that was seen streaking across the sky in January has been confirmed as a comet by International Astronomical Union’s Minor Planet Center (MPC).
The comet was first spotted on Jan. 9 by astronomers at the Purple Mountain Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The discovery was confirmed by the MPC on Wednesday and was named Tsuchinshan-ATLAS.
