ကမ္ဘောဒီးယားနိုင်ငံက အရှေ့တောင်အာရှနိုင်ငံများအသင်း (SEA) အားကစားပြိုင်ပွဲများကို နှစ်ပေါင်း ၆၄ နှစ်အတွင်း ပထမဆုံးအကြိမ် အိမ်ရှင်အဖြစ် လက်ခံကျင်းပခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်ပြီး နှစ်နှစ်လျှင်တစ်ကြိမ်ကျင်းပသော အဆိုပါ အားကစားပွဲက ကိုဗစ်-၁၉ ကပ်ရောဂါကာလအလွန် ခရီးသွားလုပ်ငန်းကို မြှင့်တင်ပေးမည်ဟု ယုံကြည်ထားသည်။

ကမ္ဘောဒီးယားနိုင်ငံ ဝန်ကြီးချုပ် ဆမ်ဒက် တက်ခ်ချို ဟွန်ဆန်က ၃၂ ကြိမ်မြောက် ဆီးဂိမ်းအားကစားပြိုင်ပွဲကို မေ ၅ ရက် ညနေပိုင်းက ဖနွမ်းပင်မြို့ရှိ လူ ၆၀,၀၀၀ ဆံ့ Morodok Techo အမျိုးသားအားကစားရုံ၌ ဖွင့်ပွဲအခမ်းအနားကို ဦးဆောင်ကျင်းပခဲ့သည်။

“Sport: Live in Peace” ဟူသော ဆောင်ပုဒ်ဖြင့် ကျင်းပသော အားကစားပြိုင်ပွဲများက ဘရူနိုင်း၊ ကမ္ဘောဒီးယား၊ အင်ဒိုနီးရှား၊ လာအို၊ မလေးရှား၊ မြန်မာ၊ ဖိလစ်ပိုင်၊ စင်ကာပူ၊ ထိုင်း၊ အရှေ့တီမောနှင့် ဗီယက်နမ် စသည့်နိုင်ငံများမှ အားကစားသမားများ၊ နည်းပြများ၊ အကဲဖြတ်ဒိုင်လူကြီးများနှင့် ကိုယ်စားလှယ်တော်များ စုစုပေါင်း ၁၀,၈၉၀ ဦးတို့ကို အတူတကွ စုစည်းပေးခဲ့သည်။

ယင်းပြိုင်ပွဲ၌ အားကစားနည်း ၃၆ ခုကို ပြိုင်ပွဲပေါင်း ၅၇၉ ခုဖြင့် အားကစားသမားများက ယှဉ်ပြိုင်ကစားကြမည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း ကမ္ဘောဒီးယား ဆီးဂိမ်း အားကစားပွဲဖြစ်မြောက်ရေးကော်မတီ (CAMSOC) အရ သိရသည်။ (Xinhua)

Cambodia hosts SEA Games for first time in 64 years
PHNOM PENH, May 6 (Xinhua) — Cambodia hosted the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games for the first time in 64 years, expressing confidence that the biennial multi-sport event would give a boost to the tourism industry in the post-COVID-19 pandemic era.
Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen presided over the opening ceremony of the 32nd edition of the SEA Games on Friday evening at the 60,000-seater Morodok Techo National Stadium in Phnom Penh.
With the motto of “Sport: Live in Peace”, the games brought together a total of 10,890 athletes, coaches, arbitrators, and delegates from the 10 member states – Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam.
According to the Cambodia SEA Games Organizing Committee (CAMSOC), the games will see athletes competing in 579 events across 36 sports.
