ပါကစ္စတန်နိုင်ငံ၌ မုတ်သုံအကြို စတင်ကျရောက်လာသဖြင့် လွန်ခဲ့သော ၂၄ နာရီ အတွင်း မိုးရွာသွန်းမှုနှင့် ဆက်စပ်သည့် မတော်တဆမှုများကြောင့် ထိခိုက်ဒဏ်ရာရရှိသူ မြင့်တက်လာပြီးနောက် စုစုပေါင်း သေဆုံးသူ ၂၃ ဦး အထိ ရောက်ရှိလာခဲ့ကြောင်း တာဝန်ရှိသူများက ဇွန် ၂၆ ရက်နှောင်းပိုင်း၌ ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

သေဆုံးသူများမှာ ဓာတ်လိုက်သေဆုံးမှု၊ ရေနစ်သေဆုံးမှုနှင့် မိုးကြိုးပစ်မှုစသည့်အကြောင်းရင်းသုံးရပ်ကြောင့် ဖြစ်ကြောင်း ပန်ဂျပ်ပြည်နယ်အရှေ့ပိုင်းရှိ အရေးပေါ်ကယ်ဆယ်ရေးဌာနဖြစ်သည့် Rescue-1122 ၏ပြောရေးဆိုခွင့်ရှိသူ Farooq Ahmad က ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

“မိုးကြိုးထိလို့ Narowal ခရိုင်မှာ လူငါးဦးနဲ့ Sheikhupura ခရိုင်မှာ နှစ်ဦး သေဆုံးခဲ့ပါတယ်။ပန်ဂျပ်ပြည်နယ်မှာ အနည်းဆုံး လူခုနစ်ဦး ရေနစ်သေဆုံးပြီး အခြားလူ ၆ ဦးကတော့ ဓာတ်လိုက်မှုကြောင့် သေဆုံးခဲ့ပါတယ်”ဟု ပြောရေးဆိုခွင့်ရှိသူကပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

အဆိုပါ ထုတ်ပြန်ချက် အရ Narowal၊ လာဟိုး၊ Chiniot နှင့် Sheikhupura အပါအဝင် ခရိုင်အသီးသီးတွင် ဓာတ်လိုက်မှု၊ နံရံနှင့် ခေါင်မိုးပြိုကျမှု ဖြစ်စဉ်များကြောင့် အနည်းဆုံး လူ ၇၅ ဦး ဒဏ်ရာရရှိခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရသည်။

Death toll from rain-related incident rises to 23 in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, June 27 (Xinhua) — The death toll from rain-related incidents has risen to 23 after wounded succumbed to their injuries in Pakistan during the last 24 hours as the country witnessed the start of a pre-monsoon spell, said officials late Monday. The spokesperson of Rescue-1122, an emergency service in eastern Punjab province, Farooq Ahmad, said in a statement that all the reported death occurred due to three different reasons, including electrocution, drowning and lightning.
“Five people died in Narowal district and two in Sheikhupura district after getting struck by lightning. At least seven people drowned and six others lost their lives due to electrocution in different areas of the province,” said the spokesperson.
According to the statement, at least 75 people were also injured due to electrocution, and incidents of wall and roof collapse in different districts, including Narowal, Lahore, Chiniot and Sheikhupura.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif directed the provincial government and district administration to take immediate steps for draining the standing water in the urban areas of different districts, according to a statement released by the media wing of the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday.
