မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရှိ ပုပ္ပါးတောင်ကို ယူနက်စကို ကမ္ဘာ့ဘူမိဥယျာဉ်စာရင်းတွင် ပါဝင်နိုင်ရေး ကြိုးပမ်းဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိ

မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအနေဖြင့် ပုပ္ပါးတောင် အမျိုးသားဘူမိဥယျာဉ်ကို ယူနက်စကို (UNESCO) ကမ္ဘာ့ဘူမိဥယျာဉ်စာရင်းတွင် ပါဝင်နိုင်ရေးအတွက် ကြိုးပမ်းဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိကြောင်း သယံဇာတနှင့် သဘာဝပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ထိန်းသိမ်းရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန တာဝန်ရှိသူတစ်ဦးက ဇွန် ၃ ရက်၌ ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

“မနှစ်က ဒီဇင်ဘာလမှာ ပုပ္ပါးတောင် အမျိုးသားဘူမိဥယျာဉ်အဖြစ် သတ်မှတ်လိုက်ပြီးတဲ့နောက်မှာ ကျွန်မတို့အနေနဲ့ ယူနက်စကို ကမ္ဘာ့ဘူမိဥယျာဉ်အဆင့် သတ်မှတ်ချက်တွေနဲ့ ပြည့်မီအောင်လို့ လုပ်ဆောင်နေပါတယ်” ဟု သယံဇာတနှင့် သဘာဝပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ထိန်းသိမ်းရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန ဒုတိယအမြဲတမ်းအတွင်းဝန် ဒေါ်ဇင်မာထွန်းက ဆင်ဟွာကို ပြောခဲ့သည်။
“ကမ္ဘာ့ဘူမိဥယျာဉ်အဆင့်အတွက် သတ်မှတ်ချက်တွေ ပြည့်မီဖို့ ဘူမိနယ်မြေတွေ ပိုမိုဖွဲ့ဖို့ နေရာလေးတွေ လျာထားပါတယ်။ လက်ရှိတွင် ပုပ္ပါးတောင်ဘူမိဥယျာဉ်ကို ဘူမိနယ်မြေ ၁၅ ခုဖြင့် ဖွဲ့စည်းထားကြောင်း သိရသည်။

ပုပ္ပါးတောင် အမျိုးသားဘူမိဥယျာဉ်က ယူနက်စကို ဘူမိဥယျာဉ်အဆင့်ဝင်ရောက်နိုင်ခဲ့ပါက နိုင်ငံတကာခရီးသွားဧည့်သည်များကို ပိုမိုဆွဲဆောင်နိုင်မည်ဖြစ်ကာ ဘူမိ-ခရီးသွားလုပ်ငန်း မြှင့်တင်ရန် အထောက်အကူပြုမည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း၊ ဒေသခံများအတွက် ဝင်ငွေတိုးမည်ဖြစ်သလို အလုပ်အကိုင်အခွင့်အလမ်းများလည်း ဖန်တီးပေးနိုင်မည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း ဒေါ်ဇင်မာထွန်းက ဆိုသည်။
ပုပ္ပါးတောင်သည် ပင်လယ်ရေမျက်နှာပြင်အထက် ၁,၅၁၈ မီတာတွင် တည်ရှိသော မီးတောင်ဟောင်းတစ်ခုဖြစ်ပြီး မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ အလယ်ပိုင်း မန္တလေးတိုင်းဒေသကြီး၊ ပဲခူးရိုးမ၊ ပုဂံမြို့၏ အရှေ့တောင်ဘက် ၅၀ ကီလိုမီတာခန့်အကွာ၌ တည်ရှိသည်။ (Xinhua)

Myanmar in efforts towards inscription of Mount Popa on UNESCO geoparks list
YANGON, June 3 (Xinhua) — Myanmar authorities are working towards the accession of the country’s Mount Popa National Geopark to the UNESCO Global Geoparks list, an official from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation said on Monday.
“After designating it as Mount Popa National Geopark in December last year, we are working to meet the requirements for the UNESCO Global Geoparks status,” Daw Zin Mar Tun, deputy permanent secretary of the ministry, told Xinhua.
“We are now establishing more geo sites to meet the criteria for the global geopark status,” she said. The Mount Popa National Geopark currently has 15 geo sites.
If Mount Popa National Geopark gets the UNESCO Global Geopark status, it will attract more international tourists and help promote geo-tourism. This scenario will also help local people earn more money and create job opportunities, she added.
Mount Popa is a dormant volcano standing 1,518 meters above sea level. It is located in central Myanmar’s Mandalay Region, about 50 km southeast of Bagan in the Pegu Range.
