Liverpool made to dig deep in Premier League, as Spurs beat Man Utd
Liverpool retained their seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League but were made to work hard for a 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
Arne Slot was allowed to be in the Liverpool dugout after his red card at Goodison Park on Wednesday night, and saw his side took a 2-0 lead in the first half, as Luis Diaz chested in a scrappy goal from close range in the 15th minute.
Mohamed Salah doubled Liverpool’s lead from the penalty spot as Diaz was caught by Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa in the 37th minute and it looked to be game over.
However, after VAR ruled out a second Liverpool penalty, Matheus Cunha curled in a lovely 67th-minute goal for the visitors, who pushed hard for an equalizer in the last 25 minutes.
Sunday also saw Tottenham win 1-0 at home over Manchester United thanks to James Maddison’s 13th-minute goal.

Conceicao goal sees Juventus edge Inter in Serie A
Juventus registered its fourth consecutive win in all competitions, beating Inter Milan 1-0 at the Allianz Stadium in a highly-anticipated Derby d’Italia on Sunday thanks to a late winner from Francisco Conceicao.
It was an end-to-end thriller with both sides constantly creating scoring opportunities, as Dumfries hit the woodwork twice.
Juve broke the deadlock in the 74th minute when Kolo Muani drew out the defenders and laid the ball off for Conceicao to finish with a left-footed strike. Inter had a chance to equalize but Marcus Thuram saw a close-range header go over the bar.

Fonseca wins historic first ATP title at Argentina Open
Brazilian teenager Joao Fonseca secured his first ATP tour title on Sunday by beating local favorite Francisco Cerundolo 6-4, 7-6(1) in the Argentina Open final.
The 18-year-old showed composure beyond his years, winning 73% of his first-serve points to prevail in an hour and 45 minutes on the outdoor clay of the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club.

China concludes short track speed skating Milan event with 1 gold, 1 bronze
China bagged one gold and one bronze but failed to add to its medal tally on the final competition day of the ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Tour Milan on Sunday.
In the men’s 5,000m relay final, China’s quartet of Sun Long, Liu Shaolin, Liu Shaoang and Liu Guanyi stayed within the top three for the first half of the race. However, a late-race fall by Liu Guanyi dashed China’s hopes of securing a medal. Host nation Italy surged ahead in the final stretch, overtaking Canada to clinch the gold. Canada settled for the silver, while Kazakhstan took the bronze.
