Drone helps resume disrupted communication in disaster-hit villages in China’s Hunan
Torrential rains have triggered mountain torrents and mudslides, cutting off roads and telecommunication supplies in Huitong County, central China’s Hunan Province. A 6-meter-long and 4-meter-wide drone carrying a base station was used to help resume the disrupted mobile communication. This FS100 satellite communication drone kept flying around for 4 hours above six disaster-hit villages, enabling them to get in touch with rescue authorities.
