နိုင်ငံအများအပြားက စစ်မက်ဖြစ်ပွားနေသော ဆူဒန်နိုင်ငံမှ ၎င်းတို့၏ နိုင်ငံသားများကို ပြောင်းရွှေ့နေခြင်းကြောင့် နိုင်ငံအတွင်းရှိ စစ်ဘက်ဆိုင်ရာ ပြိုင်ဘက်အဖွဲ့အစည်းများအနေဖြင့် ဧပြီ ၂၄ ရက် သန်းခေါင်ယံမှ၍ သုံးရက်ကြာ အပစ်အခတ်ရပ်စဲထားရန် သဘောတူခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရသည်။“ဆူဒန်စစ်တပ်နှင့် Rapid Support Forces (RSF) တို့က လွန်ခဲ့တဲ့ ၄၈ နာရီအတွင်း အပြင်းအထန် ဆွေးနွေးညှိနှိုင်းပြီးတဲ့နောက် ဧပြီ ၂၄ ရက် ညသန်းခေါင်ယံကစပြီး နောက်ထပ် ၇၂ အတွင်း နိုင်ငံတစ်ဝန်း အပစ်အခတ်ရပ်စဲထားဖို့ သဘောတူခဲ့ကြတယ်” ဟု အမေရိကန်နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီး အန်တိုနီ ဘလင်ကန်က ဧပြီ ၂၄ ရက် ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်၌ ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

ယခင်က ကြိုးပမ်းအားထုတ်ခဲ့သော အပစ်အခတ်ရပ်စဲမှုများမှာ အပြင်းအထန်တိုက်ခိုက်မှုများကြောင့် ပျက်စီးသွားခဲ့ကာ ဒုတိယသီတင်းပတ်သို့ ဝင်ရောက်လာခဲ့သလို သေဆုံးသူအရေအတွက်မှာလည်း ၄၂၇ ဦးနှင့် ဒဏ်ရာရသူ ၃,၇၀၀ ကျော် ရှိပြီဖြစ်ကြောင်း ကုလသမဂ္ဂအေဂျင်စီများအရ သိရသည်။ (Xinhua)

Sudan’s rival factions agree to three-day ceasefire amid intense evacuations
KHARTOUM, April 25 (Xinhua) — The warring parties in Sudan have agreed to a three-day ceasefire starting midnight on Monday, as many countries are racing to evacuate civilians from the battle-scarred African country.
“Following intense negotiation over the past 48 hours, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have agreed to implement a nationwide ceasefire starting at midnight on April 24, to last for 72 hours,” U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday in a written statement.
Previous attempted ceasefires have failed as the brutal fighting, entering a second week, has killed at least 427 people and wounded more than 3,700, according to UN agencies.
