ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံ၏ ရိုးရာနှစ်သစ်ကူးပွဲတော်ကို နိုင်ငံတကာလက်ခံသော ဆွဲဆောင်မှု “soft power” မြှင့်တင်သည့်အနေဖြင့် တစ်ဦးနှင့် တစ်ဦး ရေပက်ဖျန်းခြင်း၊ ဆင်များနှင့် ရေပက်ကစားခြင်း သို့မဟုတ် ယဉ်ကျေးမှုဆိုင်ရာ ဖျော်ဖြေတင်ဆက်မှုများ၊ ပျော်ပွဲရွှင်ပွဲများဖြင့် နိုင်ငံတစ်ဝန်း ဧပြီလတစ်လျှောက်လုံး ဆုန်ခရန်ပွဲတော် အစီအစဉ်များစွာကျင်းပလျက်ရှိသည်။ ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံတွင် ဆုန်ခရန်ပွဲတော်ကို ဧပြီ ၁၃ ရက်မှ ၁၅ ရက်အထိ ကျင်းပလေ့ရှိသလို လာအိုနိုင်ငံ၊ ကမ္ဘောဒီးယားနိုင်ငံနှင့် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင်လည်း ကျင်းပလျက်ရှိသည်။

ဆုန်ခရန်ပွဲတော်ကို ယူနက်စကိုက အသိအမှတ်ပြုမှုရရှိပြီးချိန်မှစ၍ ကမ္ဘာလှည့်ခရီးသွားဧည့်သည်များ ဆွဲဆောင်ရေးနှင့် ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံ၏ စီးပွားရေးကို မြှင့်တင်ရေးအတွက် ဆုန်ခရန်ခေါင်းစဉ်ဖြင့် အစီအစဉ်များစွာအား အကျိုးရှိရှိအသုံးချရန် အကောင်းဆုံးအခွင့်အလမ်းတစ်ရပ်လည်း ဖြစ်ကြောင်း ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံ ခရီးသွားလာရေးနှင့် အားကစားဝန်ကြီး Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol က ပြောခဲ့သည်။ (Xinhua)

Thailand rides on Songkran festival to boost soft power
BANGKOK, April 16 (Xinhua) — Getting drenched in water fights, splashing water with elephants, or enjoying cultural performances, revelers embrace Songkran festivities throughout April across Thailand as the country rides on its traditional new year to boost “soft power.” Songkran, usually held from April 13 to 15 in Thailand, is also celebrated in Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar.
Since Songkran has won UNESCO recognition, it’s the best opportunity to utilize Songkran-themed activities to attract global tourists and stimulate the Thai economy, said Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Thai minister of tourism and sports.
