Workers gear up for busy season in durian orchard, processing factory in Thailand
CHANTHABURI, Thailand, May 14 (Xinhua) — Workers in Thailand are bustling with activity as they harvest and pack durians in orchards and processing factories. Thailand, renowned as one of the world’s top producers and exporters of durian, is witnessing this seasonal rush. In 2023, China imported 1.426 million tonnes of fresh durian, with 929,000 tonnes coming from Thailand, accounting for 65.15 percent of China’s total fresh durian imports.
