“အခင်းဖြစ်နေရာကို ကျွန်တော်တို့ ချက်ချင်း သွားရောက်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ဒေသခံတွေရဲ့အကူအညီနဲ့ ကယ်ဆယ်ရေးလုပ်ငန်းတွေကို စတင်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။အပျက်အစီးတွေထဲက လူ ၁၄ ယောက်ကို ဆွဲထုတ်နိုင်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။လူ ၇ ဦးက သေဆုံးသွားခဲ့ပြီး ကျန် ၇ ဦးကတော့ ဆေးရုံမှာ ဆေးကုသမှု ခံယူနေကြပါတယ်။”ဟု ၎င်းက ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

Cooking gas cylinder blast kills 7 in India as 2 houses collapse

NEW DELHI, June 2 (Xinhua) — At least seven people were killed and seven others injured after a cooking gas cylinder exploded in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Wednesday.

The blast, which brought down two houses, took place at village Tikri of Wazirganj area in Gonda district, about 158 km east of Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh.
“Late last night we received a call about a cylinder blast that caused roof collapse of a residential house,” a senior police official Santosh Kumar Mishra told media.

“Immediately we rushed to the spot and with the help of local people, rescue operations were started. Fourteen people were pulled out from the debris and of them, seven were declared dead and seven others are undergoing treatment at a hospital.”The deaths include two men, two women and three children.Authorities brought heavy machinery to the site to clear the debris and carry out a search.

The police have ordered an investigation to ascertain the cause of the blast.”Prima facie it appears a gas cylinder meant for cooking has blasted, but we have sought help from forensic teams to know the exact cause,” Mishra said.Reports said the death toll is likely to go up in wake of the critical condition of the injured.
