GLOBALink | Aerial night view of roller coaster-like interchange in SW China

GUIYANG, July 28 (XINHUA) — Qianchun interchange in Guiyang, capital of southwest China’s Guizhou Province, is one of the most complex interchanges in China.

The complex structure consists of 11 ramps going in eight different directions stacked on five layers. With its largest vertical drop of 55 meters, the interchange has been dubbed as a super “roller coaster” by many netizens.

Thanks to its high piers, plenty of room beneath the overpass is used for a recreational park. Many locals come to spend their leisure time.
Completed at the end of 2016, the interchange not only helps relieve local traffic congestion, but also becomes a beautiful attraction in the city.
