Schools in Indian capital to reopen for all classes from November

NEW DELHI, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) — All schools in New Delhi will reopen for all classes with 50 percent capacity of the total students’ strength from Nov. 1, deputy chief minister and education minister of New Delhi Manish Sisodia said on Wednesday.

While schools have been functional for the past few weeks for senior classes after being shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year, junior classes were shut as a precautionary measure.
After a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Sisodia said that parental consent would be compulsory for kids to come to school physically.
The education department has to ensure the enforcement of COVID-19 Appropriate Behavior (CAB), and teachers, staff, and transportation personnel are 100 percent vaccinated with both doses of the vaccine.

As per the official information available, 90 percent of the teaching staff have already taken at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccines. Enditem
