ကမ္ဘာ့ဘဏ်က ကမ္ဘောဒီးယားနိုင်ငံတွင် စွန့်ပစ်အမှိုက်နှင့် ပလတ်စတစ်များ စီမံခန့်ခွဲမှု တိုးတက်ကောင်းမွန်လာစေရေးအတွက် ပံ့ပိုးကူညီရန် ချေးငွေအမေရိကန်ဒေါ်လာ သန်း ၆၀ ခွင့်ပြုလိုက်ပြီဖြစ်ကြောင်း ကမ္ဘာ့ဘဏ်၏ မေ ၁၁ ရက် ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်အရ သိရသည်။
အဆိုပါစီမံကိန်းကို PROBLUE ယုံမှတ်ချေးငွေ မှ ထောက်ပံ့ငွေ အမေရိကန်ဒေါ်လာ ၃ သန်းဖြင့် ငွေကြေးမတည် သွားမည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်တွင် ဖော်ပြထားသည်။

“ပိုမိုကောင်းမွန်တဲ့ အမှိုက်နှင့် ပလတ်စတစ် စီမံခန့်ခွဲမှုက ခရီးသွားလုပ်ငန်းကဏ္ဍအပါအဝင် ကမ္ဘောဒီးယားနိုင်ငံရဲ့ စီးပွားရေးနဲ့ လူမှုရေးဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှုအတွက် အရေးကြီးပါတယ်” ဟု ကမ္ဘောဒီးယားနိုင်ငံဆိုင်ရာ ကမ္ဘာ့ဘဏ်ဌာနနေမန်နေဂျာ Maryam Salim က ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

အဆိုပါစီမံကိန်းသည် အိမ်ထောင်စုများအတွက် ပုံမှန်အမှိုက်များစွန့်ပစ်ရာတွင် ပိုမိုအဆင်ပြေချောမွေ့စေရန် ပံ့ပိုးပေးမည်ဖြစ်ပြီး ဖို့မြေ၊ စွန့်ပစ်အမှိုက်ပြန်လည်အသုံးပြုခြင်းနှင့် မြေဆွေးပြုလုပ်နိုင်စွမ်း မြင့်တက်လာခြင်းဖြင့် ပြည်သူ့ကျန်းမာရေး၊ သဘာဝပတ်ဝန်းကျင်နှင့် ခရီးသွားလုပ်ငန်းအပေါ် အပြုသဘောဆောင်သော အကျိုးသက်ရောက်မှုများရှိလာမည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း Salim မှ ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။ (Xinhua)

World Bank approves 60 mln USD credit to Cambodia for solid waste, plastics management
PHNOM PENH, May 12 (Xinhua) — The World Bank has approved a 60-million-U.S.-dollar credit to Cambodia to support the kingdom’s improvement of solid waste and plastics management, according to its press statement on Thursday.
The project will be co-financed by a grant from the PROBLUE trust fund in the amount of 3 million dollars, the statement said.
“Improved solid waste and plastics management is critical for Cambodia’s economic and social development, including its tourism sector,” Maryam Salim, World Bank country manager for Cambodia, said.
Salim said the project will also support greater access for households to regular waste collection, and with increased landfill, recycling, and composting capacity, there will be positive impacts on public health, the environment, and tourism.■
