ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံတွင် ဇူလိုင် ၁ ရက်မှစ၍ ကိုဗစ်-၁၉ (COVID-19) ရောဂါအား ပုံမှန်ဖြစ်ပွားသောရောဂါအဖြစ် ကူးပြောင်းရေးပံ့ပိုးရန် အဆင့်လေးဆင့်ပါသော အစီအစဉ်တစ်ခုအား ကျန်းမာရေးအာဏာပိုင်များက မတ် ၉ ရက်၌ ခွင့်ပြုခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရသည်။

အမျိုးသား ကူးစက်နိုင်သောရောဂါကော်မတီ (NCDC) မှ ပြုလုပ်သော အစည်းအဝေးတစ်ခု၌ ခွင့်ပြုခဲ့သော အစီအစဉ်သည် နောက်ဆုံးဖြစ်ပေါ်နေသော အိုမီခရွန် မျိုးဗီဇပြောင်းဗိုင်းရပ်စ်ကြောင့် ရောဂါကူးစက်မှုအသစ်များနှင့် လူသေဆုံးမှုများ မြင့်တက်လာခြင်းကို ဖြည်းဖြည်းချင်းထိန်းသိမ်းနိုင်ရန်နှင့် ပုံမှန်ဖြစ်ပွားလေ့ရှိသောရောဂါတစ်ခုအဖြစ် ဗိုင်းရပ်စ်ကို သဘောထားသတ်မှတ်ရေး ပြင်ဆင်ရန် ရည်ရွယ်ထားကြောင်း သိရသည်။

တတိယအဆင့်တွင်မူ ဇူလိုင် ၁ ရက်မှစ၍ ပုံမှန်ရောဂါအဖြစ်သတ်မှတ်ခြင်းအဆင့်သို့ မဝင်ရောက်မီ မေလကုန်ပိုင်းမှ ဇွန်လအထိ နေ့စဉ်ရောဂါကူးစက်မှုမှာ အရေအတွက် ၁,၀၀၀ မှ ၂,၀၀၀ ခန့်အထိ သိသိသာသာ လျော့ကျလာသည်ကို မြင်တွေ့နိုင်မည်ဟု ခန့်မှန်းထားသည်။

ပုံမှန်ဖြစ်ပွားလေ့ရှိသောရောဂါအဆင့်သို့ ရောက်ရှိနိုင်ရန် ကိုဗစ်-၁၉ ရောဂါကြောင့် သေဆုံးသူနှုန်းမှာ ၀.၁ ရာခိုင်နှုန်းမကျော်ဘဲ ရှိနေရမည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း တာဝန်ရှိသူများက အလေးထားပြောခဲ့သည်။ လက်ရှိအချိန်တွင် အဆိုပါနှုန်းမှာ ၀.၂ ရာခိုင်နှုန်းအထိ နီးစပ်လာပြီဖြစ်သည်။

ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံတွင် မတ် ၉ ရက်၌ ကိုဗစ်-၁၉ ရောဂါဖြစ်ပွားမှုအသစ် ၂၂,၀၇၃ ဦးနှင့် သေဆုံးသူ ၆၉ ဦးရှိခဲ့ကြောင်း၊ နိုင်ငံအတွင်း စုစုပေါင်း ရောဂါဖြစ်ပွားမှု ၃.၀၉ သန်းနှင့် သေဆုံးသူ ၂၃,၄၃၈ ဦးအထိရှိပြီဖြစ်ကြောင်း သိရသည်။

ထို့ပြင် မတ် ၈ ရက်အထိ ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံရှိ လူဦးရေ သန်း ၇၀ နီးပါး၏ ၇၁.၇ ရာခိုင်နှုန်းမှာ ကာကွယ်ဆေးအပြည့်အဝ ထိုးနှံထားပြီးဖြစ်ကြောင်းနှင့် ၃၀.၆ ရာခိုင်နှုန်းမှာမူ အားဖြည့်ကာကွယ်ဆေးများ ထိုးနှံထားပြီးဖြစ်ကြောင်း သိရသည်။ (Xinhua)

Thailand approves plan to treat COVID-19 as endemic

BANGKOK, March 9 (Xinhua) — Thailand’s health authorities approved on Wednesday a four-step plan to support the country’s transition to the COVID-19 endemic phase by July 1.
Approved at a meeting held by the National Communicable Disease Committee (NCDC), the plan aims to gradually contain the surge of new infections and deaths caused by the latest Omicron variant, and prepare the country to treat the virus as an endemic.
The decision was made to help Thailand’s economy recover from the pandemic as well as protect public health by implementing strict measures accordingly, Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul told the press after chairing the meeting.
According to health officials, from Saturday to early April, the country will still see a further rise in infections, while from April to May, the number of cases is predicted to remain high but will start to decline.
The third stage, from late May to June, is expected to see a major reduction of daily infections to some 1,000 to 2,000 before the country enters the endemic phase, from July 1 onwards.
Thai officials highlighted that in order to achieve an endemic status, the COVID-19 driven fatality rate must not exceed 0.1 percent. Currently, this rate is close to 0.2 percent.
Thailand on Wednesday reported 22,073 new COVID-19 cases and 69 deaths, bringing its total tally to 3.09 million with 23,438 fatalities.
As of Tuesday, around 71.7 percent of the country’s nearly 70 million population had been fully vaccinated, while 30.6 percent had received booster shots. ■
