တရုတ်နိုင်ငံ၏ ၁၅ ကြိမ်မြောက် အမျိုးသားအားကစားပြိုင်ပွဲ ဖွင့်ပွဲအခမ်းအနားမတိုင်မီ ကွမ်ကျိုးမြို့၌ ယင်းကဲ့သို့ တွေ့ဆုံခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။
“Happy 94th birthday to Xinhua” ဟု ကိုဗင်ထရီက ဆုတောင်းစကား ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။ “ခြောက်နှစ်တာ ကာလအတွင်းမှာ ဆင်ဟွာသတင်းဌာနနဲ့အတူ ရာပြည့်အထိမ်းအမှတ်ပွဲကို ဆင်နွှဲဖို့ ကျွန်မ မျှော်လင့်စောင့်စားနေပါတယ်” ဟု ၎င်းက ဆက်လက်ပြောကြားသည်။
၁၉၃၁ ခုနှစ် နိုဝင်ဘာ ၇ ရက်တွင် စတင်တည်ထောင်ခဲ့သည့် ဆင်ဟွာသတင်းဌာနမှာ ယင်း၏ နှစ်ပတ်လည် အထိမ်းအမှတ်အခမ်းအနားကို နိုဝင်ဘာ ၇ ရက်က ကျင်းပခဲ့သည်။ ပြည်ပ၌ ရုံးခွဲ ၁၈၄ ခု ဖွင့်လှစ်ထားကာ ဘာသာစကား ၁၅ မျိုးဖြင့် သတင်းများကို နေ့စဉ် ထုတ်လုပ်တင်ဆက်ပေးနေသော ဆင်ဟွာသတင်းဌာနအား ထိုစဉ်က IOC ဥက္ကဋ္ဌအဖြစ် တာဝန်ထမ်းဆောင်နေသည့် သောမတ်စ် ဘတ်ချ်၏ ၂၀၁၉ ခုနှစ် ခရီးစဉ်အတွင်း IOC က နိုင်ငံတကာ သတင်းအေဂျင်စီတစ်ခုအဖြစ် တရားဝင်အသိအမှတ်ပြုခဲ့ခြင်းဖြစ်သည်။
“ခြောက်နှစ်ကြာ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုက မယုံနိုင်လောက်အောင် တိုးတက်ခဲ့တာကို မြင်ရတဲ့အတွက် အားရကျေနပ်မိတယ် ဆိုတာထက်ပိုတဲ့ ခံစားချက်ကို တကယ်ပဲခံစားမိပါတယ်” ဟု နိုဝင်ဘာ ၉ ရက် တွေ့ဆုံမှုတွင် ပါဝင်ခဲ့သည့် ဘတ်ချ်က ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။ “ဆင်ဟွာဟာ ရလဒ်တွေကို ကြည့်ရုံတင်မကဘဲ အားကစားရဲ့ တန်ဖိုးကိုလည်း အံ့မခန်းလောက်အောင် မြှင့်တင်ပေးနေပါတယ်” ဟု ၎င်းက ဆိုသည်။

ယခုနှစ် ဇွန်လ၌ IOC ဥက္ကဋ္ဌအဖြစ် ဘတ်ချ်၏နေရာကို ဆက်ခံခဲ့သည့် ကိုဗင်ထရီကလည်း ဆင်ဟွာသတင်းဌာန၏ သတင်းစာပညာရပ်ဆိုင်ရာ စံနှုန်းများကို ချီးကျူးပြောဆိုခဲ့သည်။
“သင်တို့ စွမ်းဆောင်ထားတဲ့ အရာအားလုံးအတွက် ဂုဏ်ပြုပါတယ်။ သတင်းရေးသားတင်ဆက်မှုတွေကို သုတေသနလုပ်ဆောင်ချက်များစွာနဲ့အတူ အလွန်ရှင်းလင်းတိကျပြီး အလွန်ကောင်းမွန်စွာနဲ့ အစဉ်အမြဲ လုပ်ဆောင်နေတာကို ကျွန်မတို့ မြင်တွေ့ရပါတယ်။ အဲဒါက မှန်ကန်တဲ့သတင်းတွေကို တင်ဆက်နိုင်ဖို့ အမြဲတမ်း သိပ်ကိုအရေးကြီးပါတယ်” ဟု ကိုဗင်ထရီက ပြောသည်။
ရှီကလည်း နိုင်ငံတကာဆက်ဆံရေးနှင့် လူမှုဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှုတွင် အားကစား၏ အလွန်အရေးပါသော အခန်းကဏ္ဍကို အလေးထားပြောဆိုခဲ့သည်။
“အားကစားဆိုတာဟာ နိုင်ငံတကာ ကူးလူးဆက်ဆံမှုတွေကို မြှင့်တင်အားပေးရာမှာ အလွန်အရေးပါတဲ့ အခန်းကဏ္ဍကနေ ပါဝင်ပါတယ်” ဟု ရှီက ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။ “ဒါဟာ အိုလံပစ်အားကစားပြိုင်ပွဲ ဆောင်ပုဒ်ဖြစ်တဲ့ ‘တစ်စိတ်တစ်ဝမ်းတည်းရှိရေး’ ဆိုတဲ့ ဆောင်ပုဒ်နဲ့လည်း ကိုက်ညီပါတယ်။ အားကစားဆိုတာဟာ ကမ္ဘာကြီးရဲ့ ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှုအတွက် ဒီထက်ပိုပြီးအရေးပါတဲ့ အခန်းကဏ္ဍကနေ ပါဝင်သင့်သလို ဆင်ဟွာသတင်းဌာနအနေနဲ့လည်း အဲဒီကိစ္စရပ်နဲ့ပတ်သက်ပြီး IOC နဲ့ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုတွေကို ပိုပြီးခိုင်ခိုင်မာမာ လုပ်ဆောင်သွားဖို့ ဆန္ဒရှိပါတယ်” ဟု ၎င်းက ဆက်လက်ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

ကိုဗင်ထရီကလည်း ယင်းခံယူချက်များနှင် စပ်လျဉ်း၍ ထပ်လောင်းပြောဆိုခဲ့ကာ အိုလံပစ်အားကစားပြိုင်ပွဲ၏ စံတန်ဖိုးများနှင့် ဆင်ဟွာသတင်းဌာန၏ သတင်းရေးသားတင်ဆက်မှုများအကြား ဟန်ချက်ညီမှုကို ထောက်ပြပြောဆိုခဲ့သည်။
“ကျွန်မတို့ အမြတ်တနိုး ထိန်းသိမ်းထားတဲ့ စံတန်ဖိုးတွေကို လက်ဆင့်ကမ်းဖြန့်ဝေရာမှာ ပံ့ပိုးကူညီခဲ့တဲ့အတွက် သင်တို့ကို ကျေးဇူးတင်ပါတယ်။ မျက်မှောက်ကမ္ဘာမှာ အဲဒါက သိပ်ကိုအရေးကြီးတယ်ဆိုတာကို ကျွန်မတို့ သိရှိခဲ့ရသလို အားကစားဆိုတာဟာလည်း ဒီနေ့ခေတ်မှာ ကျွန်မတို့လိုအပ်နေတဲ့ သိပ်ကိုအဖိုးတန်တဲ့ သတင်းစကားတွေကို ဖြန့်ဝေဖို့ ထူးခြားကောင်းမွန်တဲ့ နည်းလမ်းတစ်ခုပါပဲ” ဟု ကိုဗင်ထရီက ပြောသည်။
ထို့ပြင် ကိုဗင်ထရီက ၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ် မီလန်-ကိုတီနာ ဆောင်းရာသီအိုလံပစ် အားကစားပြိုင်ပွဲအား ကြိုတင်မျှော်တွေးလျက် ယင်းအားကစားပြိုင်ပွဲသို့ သတင်းထောက်နှင့် ဓာတ်ပုံသမား ၁၀၀ ကျော် ပါဝင်သော အဖွဲ့တစ်ဖွဲ့စေလွှတ်မည့် ဆင်ဟွာသတင်းဌာန၏ အစီအစဉ်ကိုလည်း ကြိုဆိုခဲ့သည်။
“ခုနကပြောခဲ့သလိုပါပဲ၊ သိပ်ကိုအင်အားတောင့်တင်းတဲ့ အသင်းတွေကို ပိုင်ဆိုင်ထားနိုင်မှသာ အိုလံပစ်အားကစားပြိုင်ပွဲရဲ့ ကောင်းမွန်လေးနက်တဲ့ သတင်းစကားကို ဆောင်ကြဉ်းပေးနိုင်မှာပါ။ ဒါကြောင့် တရုတ်နိုင်ငံက မီလန်-ကိုတီနာ အိုလံပစ်ပြိုင်ပွဲဆီ အင်အားတောင့်တင်းတဲ့ ကိုယ်စားလှယ်အဖွဲ့ စေလွှတ်ပေးမှာ ဖြစ်တဲ့အတွက် သိပ်ကိုကျေးဇူးတင်ပါတယ်” ဟု ကိုဗင်ထရီက ဆိုသည်။

IOC president pledges deeper cooperation with China’s Xinhua News Agency
GUANGZHOU, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) — International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Kirsty Coventry pledged to deepen cooperation with Xinhua News Agency during a meeting Sunday with the news organization’s vice president, Xi Yanchun, while extending birthday wishes on the agency’s 94th anniversary.
The meeting in Guangzhou preceded the opening ceremony of China’s 15th National Games.
“Happy 94th birthday to Xinhua,” said Coventry. “So in six years’ time, I look forward to celebrating 100 years with Xinhua.”
Xinhua, founded on November 7, 1931, celebrated its anniversary on Friday. The news agency, with its network of 184 overseas bureaus and daily news production in 15 languages, was formally recognized as an international news agency by the IOC in 2019 during a visit by then-president Thomas Bach.
“It is really more than satisfying to see how these six years of cooperation has developed in an amazing way,” said Bach, who also attended Sunday’s meeting. “Xinhua is not only looking at the results, but promoting the value of sport in an extraordinary way.”
Coventry, who succeeded Bach as IOC president in June, praised Xinhua’s journalistic standards.
“Congratulations on everything that you have accomplished,” Coventry said. “We can see that the reporting is always done in a very good way, in a very clear way with lots of research. It is always very important to be able to tell the right stories.”
Xi emphasized sport’s vital role in international relations and social development.
“Sport plays a vital role in promoting international exchanges,” Xi said. “This is in line with the Olympic motto of ‘Together.’ Sport should play an even more important role in global development, and Xinhua is willing to strengthen cooperation with the IOC in this regard.”
Coventry echoed these sentiments, noting the alignment between Olympic values and Xinhua’s reporting.
“We appreciate that you help to spread the values that we hold so dearly,” she said. “We find that is very important in today’s world, and sport is a great way to deliver those very good messages that we need today.”
Looking ahead to the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, Coventry welcomed Xinhua’s plan to send a team of over 100 reporters and photographers.
“As you said, we can only deliver the incredible message of the Olympic Games if we have very strong teams,” Coventry noted. “So we very much appreciate that you’re sending a big delegation to Milan-Cortina.”
The meeting was also attended by IOC Executive Board member Li Lingwei, IOC members Yu Zaiqing and Zhang Hong, and IOC Director General Christophe De Kepper.
