Indian capital grapples with severe pollution
New Delhi, the capital of India, is once again facing a severe pollution crisis.
The air quality index (AQI) breached the 400 mark in some areas of the city on Thursday, signifying “severe” air pollution and posing significant health risks.
A graded response action plan was put in place to tackle the problem. The measures included a ban on non-essential construction activities across Delhi NCR (National Capital Region).
