Regional peace, stability crucial for Brunei Vision 2035 success: official
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) — Regional and international peace and stability assist Brunei in realizing Brunei Vision 2035 aspirations, a senior official said on Tuesday.
Brunei gains benefits and expertise in various areas such as security, economy, education and culture through bilateral relations with other countries and participation in regional and international organizations such as ASEAN, the Commonwealth, Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations, Haji Erywan Mohd Yusof, second minister of Foreign Affairs said at the legislative council.
This is in line with Brunei Vision 2035 to produce a highly educated and skillful workforce, he said, adding that Brunei will continue to strengthen foreign relations and enhance its role regionally and internationally.
Brunei is also working closely with other nations in facing challenges such as tackling pandemic diseases, climate change, cybersecurity, and economic resilience, said the official.
