ကီရာလာပြည်နယ် ဝါယာနတ်ခရိုင် မက်ပါဒီဒေသတွင် ဇူလိုင် ၃၀ ရက် နံနက် ၂ နာရီက ဒေသခံများအိပ်နေချိန်တွင် အနည်းဆုံး မြေပြိုမှု သုံးကြိမ်ဖြစ်ပွားခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရသည်။
လက်ရှိအချိန်တွင် မိုးသည်းထန်စွာ ရွာသွန်းနေသည့်ကြားမှ မြေပြိုမှုများကြားတွင် ပိတ်မိနေသည့် ဒေသခံများကို ကူညီကယ်ဆယ်ရေးဆောင်ရွက်ရန် အိန္ဒိယတပ်မတော်သားများက ဆောင်ရွက်နေ သည်။

Nearly 100 killed in South India landslides
NEW DELHI, July 30 (Xinhua) — The death toll in Tuesday’s multiple landslides in India’s southern state of Kerala further rose to 95, with more than 110 people injured, a local police officer told Xinhua over phone.
At least three massive landslides struck the Meppadi area of Kerala’s Wayanad district at around 02:00 a.m. local time when the people were asleep. Those injured were admitted to a local hospital.Many people were feared to have been washed away in the Chaliyar river.
According to the Indian Army, they had deployed 225 personnel, including medical teams. Two Indian Air Force helicopters, a Mi-17 and an Advanced Light Helicopter, were put into rescue operations. ■
