Night curfew imposed in Delhi to check surging COVID-19 cases

NEW DELHI, April 6 (Xinhua) — The Delhi government decided on Tuesday to impose a night curfew in a bid to curb the rising graph of COVID-19 cases.
The dusk-to-dawn curfew will begin from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. local time, and it last till the month end.

Over the past couple of days, the Delhi state government has been taking measures to contain the COVID-19 surge. On Monday it decided to keep one-third of all vaccination sites in the government hospitals open round-the-clock.

The national capital, which has been one of the most COVID-19 affected places in the country, witnessed as many as 3,548 new cases and 15 deaths through Monday. So far as many as 11,096 people have died in the national capital due to COVID-19, according to Delhi’s health department. Enditem
