420 kg of methamphetamine seized in eastern Myanmar
YANGON, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) — Myanmar authorities have seized 420 kg of methamphetamine in eastern Myanmar’s Shan state, the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control reported late Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, anti-narcotics police stopped and searched a vehicle in Mong Ping township on Aug. 30 and confiscated the drugs, the report said.
A suspect was arrested for the case, it said. ■
