တရုတ်-ပါကစ္စတန် စီးပွားရေးစင်္ကြံ (CPEC) မူဘောင်အောက်ရှိ Thar Coal Block-I Coal Electricity Integration စီမံကိန်း၏ ကျောက်မီးသွေးလောင်စာသုံး လျှပ်စစ်ဓာတ်အားပေးစက်ရုံကို ဖေဖော်ဝါရီ ၅ ရက်က တရားဝင်စတင်လည်ပတ်ပြီဖြစ်ကြောင်း သိရသည်။စုစုပေါင်း လျှပ်စစ်ဓာတ်အား မဂ္ဂါဝပ် ၁,၃၂၀ တပ်ဆင်ထုတ်လုပ်နိုင်စွမ်းရှိသော အဆိုပါ စက်ရုံသည် တစ်နှစ်လျှင် သန့်စင်သော လျှပ်စစ်ဓာတ်အား ကီလိုဝပ်နာရီ ၉ ဘီလီယံခန့်ကို ပါကစ္စတန် အမျိုးသားဓာတ်အားလိုင်းထံ ပံ့ပိုးပေးနိုင်မည်ဟု မျှော်မှန်းထားကာ ပါကစ္စတန်ရှိ ဒေသခံမိသားစု ၄ သန်းနီးပါး၏ စွမ်းအင်လိုအပ်ချက်ကို ဖြည့်ဆည်းပေးနိုင်လိမ့်မည်ဟု စီမံကိန်းအကြီးအကဲက ဆိုသည်။

Thar Coal Block-I Coal Electricity Integration စီမံကိန်းသည် ပါကစ္စတန်နိုင်ငံ တောင်ပိုင်း ဆင်းန်ပြည်နယ် Thar Desert သဲကန္တာရတွင် တည်ရှိသည်။ ယင်းစီမံကိန်းသည် Shanghai Electric Group က သီးခြားလွတ်လပ်စွာ ဖော်ထုတ်၊ တည်ဆောက်လည်ပတ်လျက်ရှိသော ပထမဆုံး ပြည်ပ လျှပ်စစ်စွမ်းအင်ထုတ်လုပ်ရေးစီမံကိန်းကြီးဖြစ်သည်။
၂၀၁၃ ခုနှစ်တွင် စတင်ခဲ့သော CPEC သည် ပါကစ္စတန်နိုင်ငံ အနောက်တောင်ပိုင်း Gwadar ဆိပ်ကမ်းနှင့် တရုတ်နိုင်ငံ အနောက်မြောက်ပိုင်း ရှင်းကျန်း (ဝေဂါ) ကိုယ်ပိုင်အုပ်ချုပ်ခွင့်ရဒေသ Kashgar မြို့ကို ချိတ်ဆက်ထားသော စင်္ကြံတစ်ခုဖြစ်ပြီး နှစ်နိုင်ငံကြား စွမ်းအင်၊ သယ်ယူပို့ဆောင်ရေးနှင့် စက်မှုလုပ်ငန်းဆိုင်ရာ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုကို မီးမောင်းထိုးပြထားသည်။ (Xinhua)

Coal power plant under CPEC put into operation in Pakistan
A coal-fired power plant of the Thar Coal Block-I Coal Electricity Integration project under the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was officially put into commercial operation on Sunday.
According to the head of the project, the plant, with a total installed capacity of 1,320 megawatts, is expected to provide about 9 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity per year to the Pakistani national grid, meeting the energy demand of nearly 4 million local families in Pakistan.
The Thar Coal Block-I Coal Electricity Integration project is located in the Thar Desert of Sindh province in southern Pakistan. It’s the first large-scale overseas thermal power generation project independently developed, constructed and operated by the Shanghai Electric Group.
Launched in 2013, CPEC is a corridor linking the Gwadar port in southwestern Pakistan with Kashgar in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, which highlights energy, transport and industrial cooperation between the two countries.
