ယူဂန္ဓာနိုင်ငံသည် COVID-19 ကာကွယ်ဆေးများ မထိုးနှံရသေးသော ကာကွယ်ဆေးများ သက်တမ်းလွန်သွားပြီးနောက် ကာကွယ်ဆေး ၄၀၀,၀၀၀ ကျော် ဖျက်ဆီးခဲ့ကြောင်း အဆင့်မြင့်အရာရှိတစ်ဦးက ဇန်နဝါရီ ၁၄ ရက်၌ ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။Moderna ကာကွယ်ဆေး အလုံးရေ ၄၀၀,၀၀၀ လုံး နှင့် AstraZeneca ကာကွယ်ဆေး အလုံးရေ ၂၇၉ လုံးအား ဖျက်ဆီးရန် ပေးပို့ထားပြီးဖြစ်ကြောင်း နိုင်ငံပိုင် ဆေးဝါးသိုလှောင်ရုံ၏ ပြောရေးဆိုခွင့်ရှိသူ Sheila Nduhukire က ဆင်ဟွာသို့ တယ်လီဖုန်းမှတစ်ဆင့် ပြောကြားခဲ့သည်။

ယူဂန္ဓာနိုင်ငံ၌ လွန်ခဲ့သောနှစ် မတ်လတွင် ကာကွယ်ဆေးထိုးနှံချိန်မှစ၍ ဇန်နဝါရီ ၁၂ ရက်အထိ COVID-19 ကာကွယ်ဆေး ၁၂.၂ သန်းကို ထိုးနှံပေးခဲ့ကြောင်း ကျန်းမာရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာန အချက်အလက်များအရ သိရသည်။

ယဂန္ဓာနိုင်ငံသည် အသက် ၅၀ နှစ်နှင့်အထက်ရှိသူများနှင့် ရောဂါအခံရှိသူများအနေဖြင့် အားဖြည့်ကာကွယ်ဆေးထိုးနှံကြရန် တိုက်တွန်းထားကြောင်း သိရသည်။

ဇန်နဝါရီ ၁၂ ရက်တွင် COVID-19 စစ်ဆေးမှုရလဒ်များအရ အတည်ပြုလူနာ ၅၂၃ ဦးရှိခဲ့ရာ နိုင်ငံအတွင်း ရောဂါကူးစက်မှု စုစုပေါင်း ၁၅၇,၁၆၀ ရှိပြီဖြစ်ကြောင်း သိရသည်။ (Xinhua)

Uganda to destroy over 400,000 doses of expired COVID-19 vaccines

KAMPALA, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) — Uganda is set to destroy more than 400,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines after they expired before being administered, a senior official said Friday.

Sheila Nduhukire, spokesperson of the National Medical Store, a state-run agency, told Xinhua by telephone that the 400,000 doses of Moderna and 279 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines had already been dispatched to the field.

Ministry of Health figures show that as of Jan. 12, 12.2 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines had been administered since the exercise started in March last year.

The country is also urging people aged 50 years and above and those with underling conditions to go for a booster dose.
Results of COVID-19 tests done on Jan. 12 confirmed 523 new cases, bringing the country’s total caseload to 157,160. Enditem
