Xinhua president meets TASS chief
MOSCOW, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) — President of Xinhua News Agency Fu Hua met with TASS Director General Andrey Kondrashov here on Sunday.
Fu congratulated TASS on its 120th founding anniversary and its successful hosting of the BRICS Media Summit. He noted the broad potential for cooperation between Xinhua and TASS and said he hoped both sides would expand their collaboration in the exchange of news, visits and technology.
Xinhua is ready to work together with TASS to promote more voices with positive energy in the global media landscape, Fu said.
Kondrashov thanked Xinhua for its strong support to TASS in hosting the BRICS Media Summit. He noted the longstanding friendly ties between TASS and Xinhua and expressed willingness to maintain close contact between the two agencies and expand their cooperation mechanisms to achieve greater results.
On Saturday evening, Fu attended TASS’s 120th-anniversary celebration at the agency’s invitation.
