Zhao Xintong, Judd Trump advance at 2025 World Snooker Xi’an Grand Prix

XI’AN, China, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) — Newly-crowned world champion Zhao Xintong of China got his 2025 World Snooker Xi’an Grand Prix campaign off to a good start as he saw off Wang Xinbo 5-2 on Tuesday.

When facing Wang, Zhao bagged an easy win in the first frame. Although Wang Xinbo drew level in the second frame, Zhao took a 3-1 lead after bagging two frames consecutively before heading into the intermission.

Although Wang pulled another frame back, Zhao held his nerve to win the sixth and seventh frames, seeing the 17-year-old Wang eliminated from the tournament.
