ကမ္ဘောဒီးယားနိုင်ငံ အနောက်တောင်ပိုင်း Koh Kong ပြည်နယ်၊ Koh Kong Reptile Conservation Center (KKRCC) ၌ မျိုသုဉ်းလုနီးပါးဖြစ်နေသော တော်ဝင်လိပ်ပေါက် ၁၂၂ ကောင်မှာ သဲသောင်ပြင်အတုတွင် ပေါက်ဖွားခဲ့ကြောင်း KKRCC က မေ ၁၆ ရက်တွင် သတင်းထုတ်ပြန်ခဲ့သည်။ယခုတစ်ကြိမ်သည် ကမ္ဘောဒီးယားနိုင်ငံတွင် မွေးမြူရေးကန်တွင် တော်ဝင်လိပ်များ ဥ ဥလာခြင်းသည် တတိယမြောက်နှစ်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်တွင်ဖော်ပြထားသည်။

၂၀၂၃ ခုနှစ်၊ ဥ ဥ သည့်ရာသီတွင် KKRCC မှ ထိန်းသိမ်းမွေးမြူထားသော တော်ဝင်လိပ်များက လိပ်ဥအတွဲ ၂၁ တွဲ၌ ဥပေါင်း ၂၇၂ ဥရှိပြီး၊ ဥ ၈၁ လုံးမှ ၃၅ ကောင် ပေါက်ခဲ့သော ၂၀၂၂ ခုနှစ် နှင့် နှိုင်းယှဉ်ပါက ပိုမိုကောင်းမွန်ကြောင်း ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်တွင် ဖော်ပြထားသည်။

တော်ဝင်လိပ်သည် ကမ္ဘောဒီးယားနိုင်ငံတွင် ၂၀၀၀ ပြည့်နှစ်တိုင်အောင် မျိုးသုဉ်းသွားပြီဟုမှတ်ယူထားခဲ့ပြီး Koh Kong ပြည်နယ်၊ Sre Ambel မြစ်အတွင်းတွင် ထိန်းသိမ်းရေးသမားများက အဆိုပါလိပ်အကောင်ရေ အနည်းငယ်ကို ရှာဖွေတွေ့ရှိခဲ့ကြောင်း တရားဝင် ထုတ်ပြန်ချက်အရ သိရသည်။

KKRCC သည် လက်ရှိတွင်မွေးမြူရေးကန်၌ တော်ဝင်လိပ် ၂၈၂ ကောင် ရှိကြောင်းထုတ်ပြန်ချက်တွင် ပါရှိသည်။ ၂၀၁၅ ခုနှစ်မှ စတင်၍ တော်ဝင်လိပ် ၁၆၇ ကောင်ကို သဘာဝနေရာထဲ သို့ လွှတ်ပေးခဲ့ကြောင်း သိရသည်။ (Xinhua)

122 rare Royal Turtles hatch in captivity in Cambodia
PHNOM PENH, May 17 (Xinhua) — Some 122 nearly extinct Royal Turtle babies hatched in an artificial sandbank at the Koh Kong Reptile Conservation Center (KKRCC) in southwest Cambodia’s Koh Kong province so far this year, said a KKRCC’s report on Tuesday.
This is the third year that Royal Turtles have laid eggs in captivity in Cambodia, the report said.
During the 2023 nesting season, Royal Turtles in a captive-breeding group at the KKRCC laid 272 eggs in 21 clutches and 122 of them hatched, the report said, adding that this compares favorably with 2022, when 35 out of 81 eggs in nine clutches successfully hatched.
The Royal Turtle was believed extinct in Cambodia until 2000, when a small population was rediscovered by conservationists in the Sre Ambel River in Koh Kong province, the official said.
The report said the KKRCC currently holds 282 Royal Turtles in its captivity. Since 2015, 167 Royal Turtles have been released into the wild.■
